Andy @ Allerton Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 But yesterday we were f***ing s****. Utterly Rank. Our 'Captain' was again the worst player on the pitch - completely clueless all over the park - don't deserve to even f***ing come 10th with that kind of f***ing s**** display. Absolutely f***ing dire yesterday - usually you can say one or two good things about the game - but against the team we played - we were f***ing awful What a complete bag of utter s****. The league has well and truly gone and there are 10 or 11 teams in the league that deserve to be ahead of us. Maybe next year - but this year? f***ing utter s****.
Mike Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Our 'Captain' was again the worst player on the pitch have a word with yourself
realtarragona Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 If you honestly believe Gerrard was the worst player on the pitch you need your head testing to be honest.
DazzlaJ Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Our 'Captain' was again the worst player on the pitch - completely clueless all over the park - don't deserve to even f***ing come 10th with that kind of f***ing s**** display. Complete tripe
Cunny Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 we have got serious problems and they have been evident since the start of the league campaign. So far our form has been split like so : away : play crap and losehome : play crap and win I hate to say it but Rafa seems to have done a Houllier in 2002 and bought the wrong players (Kuyt excepted). Yes we have injuries but we were hardly playing great before the injuries. Teams play deep against us (like they do against Chelsea and Man U) and we have no answer cos our wingers/wide midfielders are not good enough. They are not capable of beating a man by skill or pace - whuich would in turn disrupt the organisation of the oppossing defence. On the bright side we are not far off the top 4 despite our troubles. If SWP is up for sale, we should try and get him in January.
sutty Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 What is it with you and Gerrard Andy? It's dull and just plain incorrect.
Stevie H Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 On the bright side we are not far off the top 4 despite our troubles. If SWP is up for sale, we should try and get him in January.chelsea wouldn't sell him to us. but we're crying out for some pace and ability to beat a man, a ball-carrier who puts opponents on the back foot and gains you the extra man in an attack. we're so f***ing predictable at the moment.
Dan Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 If SWP is up for sale, we should try and get him in January. If only. Chelsea would never sell cheap to us the c*nts. In hindsight we should have saved the money spent on Pennant and together with CL qualification money from this season made a decent bid for SWP. It will be criminal if he goes to West Ham or City.
Poolfrog Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 chelsea wouldn't sell him to us. but we're crying out for some pace and ability to beat a man, a ball-carrier who puts opponents on the back foot and gains you the extra man in an attack. we're so f***ing predictable at the moment.Wright Phillips is s*** - we'd be no no better off. Let him go to West Ham. That's a club of his level
Dan Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Wright Phillips is s*** - we'd be no no better off. Let him go to West Ham. That's a club of his level b*llocks
Leo No.8 Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Ridiculous to say Gerrard was our worst player - beyond ridiculous. The few bright moments we did have (as usual) were all through his play. There were far, far worse performers last night than him. Pennant, whom I freely admit I wanted here and thought would flourish at Anfield, was absolutely dire (although I don't think the crowd's reactions are helping at all, people were on his back after 30 seconds). Riise went forward well for half an hour then for some reason decided not to bother anymore - surely he wasn't worried about David Thompson, who looked like the kind of player you'd line up against for a Sunday morning game in a team you'd be expecting to thrash. Garcia was his usual infuriating self, giving the ball away in shocking manner again and again, but still nearly getting on the end of a few chances in the first half. Kuyt looks like he needs a rest, Crouch got little service and of course Carragher couldn't be expected to do too much going forward although he did the defensive aspects of the holding role very well indeed. In other words we've just got no sparkle in the final third, no cutting edge at all. The only player who provides it is Gerrard, so to start slating him is f*cking idiotic. He certainly wasn't at his brilliant best last night, but we are hopelessly reliant on him to break down defences.
Suth Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Wright Phillips is s*** - we'd be no no better off. Let him go to West Ham. That's a club of his level complete w#nk. Wright-Phillips is top class.
jon_hall Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Andy, he was one of the only decent players last night, apart from the chances that Garcia had no one else seemed to be arsed.
D.Boon Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 chelsea wouldn't sell him to us. but we're crying out for some pace and ability to beat a man, a ball-carrier who puts opponents on the back foot and gains you the extra man in an attack. we're so f***ing predictable at the moment. All the more painful that this is exactly what we wasted money on Pennant for
eskton Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 The worst player on the pitch last night was Crouch, and the manager took him off Garcia was the 2nd worst player, and then Pennant. Stevie was far from the worst player on the pitch Crouch should stick to playing for his beloved inngerlund (remember the same with young Michael)
Cobs Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Crouch should stick to playing for his beloved inngerlund (remember the same with young Michael)oh dear

jon_hall Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Is there anybody you think is any good? Poolfrog probably.
johngibo YPC Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Gerrard did ok. I felt he was too deep at times though. Deeper than Carra at some points of the 2nd half. I also feel its worth pointing out that he was very encouraging to the young lads when they came on. Especially the Moroccan
Knox_Harrington Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Crouch should stick to playing for his beloved inngerlund (remember the same with young Michael)Jesus Christ. We've got a live one.Gerrard did ok. I felt he was too deep at times though. Deeper than Carra at some points of the 2nd half. Andy @ Allerton Posted November 30, 2006 Author Posted November 30, 2006 What is it with you and Gerrard Andy? It's dull and just plain incorrect. Thought he was rank last night Isn't your captain supposed to gee the troops up and set an example? We should break the bank for Nolan from Bolton and make him captain Someone that CAN be a good player AND a captain - Gerrard is a good player - but he's not a captain in any sense of the word.
Knox_Harrington Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 We should break the bank for Nolan from Bolton and make him captainThis is wild stuff, dude.
Gunga Din Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 i honestly think that last nights game, might have possibly be the worst game of football at that level i have ever had the misfortune of seeing. it was f***ing gash from the first minute til the last, and to be totally honest, Gerrards goal on Saturday against City glossed over how bad we were against City as well. Boro, City and Portsmouth, our last three league games, and i honestly cant remember the opposition keepers making any saves. we have hardly created a chance. we are playing worse football at the minute than we did in that horrible run under Houllier in the 2002-03 season.

I completely agree - it takes something specially bad for me to think we were terrible. But we were utterly awful - never seen anything like it at Anfield for years.
