    Dalglish!

It would be an ideal scenario if we could a set up like the Dein/Wenger model at Anfield - I'm just not sure it would work between Kenny and Rafa. It will be interesting who Hicks suggests for the role because he has been trying to publicly throw his weight behind Rafa and so for that to continue will need to appoint someone who can work with Rafa and who Rafa approves of.

    Dalglish!

Maybe not but my point was more that there would be a risk of tension cropping up between the two pretty quickly - I think Rafa's history, both recent and at Valencia, has shown pretty clearly that he wants a large degree of autonomy with transfer dealings and just wants someone to make it happen after he's chosen the targets.

    Dalglish!

Except Dein had virtually no involvement in picking players he left Wenger to do that. As I say above I just can't see Kenny being happy in a role where he doesn't have an input on which players are bought and I can't see Rafa being happy with the opposite scenario.

    Dalglish!

Depends on how Rafa gets on with Kenny I guess but I think it often works best if the person negotiating the contracts has as little involvement in choosing players as possible and just does the deals. Can't imagine Kenny not wanting to put his tuppence worth in on who we should sign.

    Parry Gone

Yossi is only ever one game away from being given flack again and in the meantime Riera has stepped up to the plate in the blame game. We should be OK on that front.

    Dalglish!

Kenny involved in negotiating transfers - can't see Rafa liking that
  14. Its an indication of how poor he's been so far this season, that we have to say he did 'OK' last night. Broadly speaking, he did nothing of note but he didn't make any stupid mistakes either. Needs to step it up quite drastically from here to warrant being kept at this club.
  15. Sky bet will have surely now closed the book on something happening - we'll need to wait for the exclusive on SSN that mentions the name Sky bet about 100 times and makes them out to be the font of all knowlege first though.
  16. i suppose if one wanted to be pedantic - he said he knew nothing about the rumours but didn't deny they were true when told what they were!

  24. shame we couldn't have found a bogus injury for Torres - bet the English players will be trying to kick 7 bells out of him.

    Keane

No surprise that SKY didn't really say anything about Keane's poor miss Plenty of digs at Rafa though. Redknapp didn't even realise we were out of the FA cup - top analysis!
