Agree with this in general, but Carra's tackle was a definite red card offence, as was Rafaels on Lucas. The Maxi one looked to me like he pulled away just in time, taking away the intent - so a yellow at worst. A perfect example of the kind of borderline offence you're talking about though has to be Gerrards red against them at OT - the players reactions and crowd (and the ref) sealed it.

Brilliant win, great team performance. Dirk pressing them hard from the front, never letting up. Suarez, brilliant, tricksy, pacy, evil Gerrard finally looks like he gives a s*** - he was great for the whole Nani business, bossed the situation, talked the ref out of red for Carra. Hypocritical as usual. Someone, maybe a fellow manager, should calmly point out all the instances where Man U and Mr Ferguson have benefited from soft and unfair decisions, as well as the many occasions where fair play rules have been clearly contravened and the FA has chosen not to punish genuine transgressions....a list of "facts" if you will

Wish I could share your optimism on that one. Agree Chelsea will improve though, and them continuing to slide was vital to us nicking 4th. Just beyond us this season I'm afraid. On the positive side - six weeks ago we had real cause to worry about relegation,,,it's all relative, I'm very happy the way we're going under FSG and Kenny, it all starts next season.

I watched the game. He was lively, quick, skilful - really good positive run and assist for their 2nd goal - probly Celtics best player, albeit against mince opposition in Rangers at the moment. Made a dummy of Diouf a few times, which was nice.

Weird lethargic game, especially 2nd half. We had no energy to push on after the goal, sat back and ceded too much possession. Badly missed Miereles when he went off. Suarez was unlucky not to score, very lively...he will be amazing for us, other teams will hate him. Kelly and Aurelio were good, Kuyt and Lucas were not.
