  1. Link to the coverage in The Echo: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fc-supporters-group-spion-10408602#rlabs=10%20rt$sitewide%20p$3
  2. A protest against the banning order for the lad with the flag who had a barney with a carer for a disabled fan? The carer said that they couldn't see the pitch, because the flag was being waved. This was before the game had started. Words were exchanged and it got heated. Didn't he get a 3 year ban, a £1000 fine and has to wear an electronic tag, or something equally ridiculous?
  3. Watching those made me wonder who is most worthy of a banner - Kevin Keegan? Emlyn Hughes? Tommy Smith? Steve Heighway? Ray Clemence? Phil Thompson? It seems to currently go from Elisha Scott, Billy Liddell, Sir Roger Hunt and then on to the late 70s and more recently. His politics and reverence of the Royal Family aside, I think I'd most like to see a banner of Emlyn Hughes holding old Big Ears aloft in Rome: "Shine on you Crazy Horse Diamond!"
  4. And lasted 90 minutes.
  5. Sounds as if JK wasn't too happy with Milner today. From the Telegraph: "It was notable in the first half that Mourinho’s side never got down Liverpool’s right again, that being the side that Klopp was stood with the new German coach ferocious in his criticism of James Milner in particular. At one break in play, English football’s most willing toiler threw his water bottle to the ground in protest at the haranguing."
  6. Oops! Having re-read it, I think that I initially mis-read D.Boon's post. Thought it read as wanting neither Lucas or Allen for tomorrow. Apologies. Point stands about Lucas, though. The best player that we have in that position.
  7. I cannot understand anybody who does not want Lucas playing tomorrow. Have you seen our games recently? He must be close to being the first name on the team sheet.
  8. This. Stocky little bugger though. And he never gave up, even though their left winger was causing him plenty of problems in the first half.
  9. RaoulD: "There was enough on show today to see that Klopp is starting to have an influence." Including the fact that we were significantly better in the second half than we were in the first.
  10. Liverpool tickets for all home games on sale on Groupon??? That looks great for the LFC Family "brand"?
  11. Klopp was really animated, and Lucas was contributing throughout also. I wonder if Klopp sees Lucas as Captain- material, if he is his "go to" guy at the end of a game?
  12. I'd love to know what Lucas and Klopp were talking about on the pitch at the end. A "proper heart to heart convvo", as my kids would say.
  13. Lucas A N Other A N Other Lucas Man of the Match by a country mile.
  14. I said this coming out of the ground last night: if you were a teammate, when exactly would you make your run? How would you know that he's finished doing his twisty turny thing, or if he's got a couple more twists and turns left? Must be frustrating. Although I do actually like him - I think he is a clever player with very, very good ball control. His lack of pace is a problem, plus lack of finishing.
  15. "What's the serial number of yer seasie end in etc etc" Or "Season Ticket holders whose serial number, NOT Seat number, ends in..."
  16. They're neither, mate. They're sick of being ripped off to ever more extortionate degrees to watch a bunch of players who don't give a toss and owned by people who seem desperate to turn us into a franchise. And your second sentence kind of misses the point doesn't it? We're talking about people who will quit once we've got back to the top, not "when we're good again". The Mancs used to have a season ticket waiting list that ran to tens of thousands. There's no waiting list there now. There's a reason for that.
  17. I know quite a few who've said that they're hanging on to see us win the League again, and then they'll bow out. Of course whether they will or not when push comes to shove, we'll see (hopefully!).
  18. Thought about it for a long time. It's not the same, and I doubt it ever will be. The sacking of Rafa, and then Kenny, in both instances by non-footballing men for non-footballing reasons, pushed me close. I think I'm hanging on to see us win the League again. Although I accept that this may take some time! I think loads will jack it when we next win the League.
  19. Yep, deffo the Arsenal game that.
  20. Most of them seem to actually hate Everton, too. Bizarre.
  21. To be fair, Dixon was just pointing out the sheer inanity of the "good touch for a big man" comment. Took the other guy to task a bit for it. I actually rate Dixon as a pundit. Unlike Lawrenson - when was the last time that he offered some level of insight drawn from his years in top flight football? Stealing a living, that man.
  22. Lallana has absolutely fantastic close control. Whatever direction and at whatever pace the ball comes to him, he generally does with it as he wants. And he is a very clever player, too. He does lack that extra yard of pace, however.
  23. Strange but true... You can see the new Main Stand from Crosby Beach.
