Billy Talbot

I agree, distribution from the back is vital if we're to use the fullbacks for width and get the best from a midfield which isn't at all suited to winning aerial battles. We need to get the ball down and keep it on the deck. Without someone in defence who resorts to the longer ball as quickly as Carragher does will also free Lucas. I've often wondered if Carragher's seemingly wilful ignorance of the pass to Lucas is down to this... that Carragher's trying to prove that he doesn't need someone to drop deep from midfield to do his passing for him.

I was reminiscing the other day about how the question... "Who's the ref?" was an afterthought which cropped up about 10 minutes before kickoff. They were the good old days. It's becoming as important to me than the team selection in the build up to a game now. The myopic c**** that they are.

I've been thinking the same. I spent at least 10 minutes after Reading's second calling the ref everything. He was s***ter than we were.

Rafa said after he was suffering with cramps. So... All 3 substitutions enforced by injury... Great.

Perhaps his eyes are too close together for heading thing? They seem to work alright for the first touch passes and football vision though. Yup. I like the look of him.

Would you? He's been absolutely shocking since he got injured. Poor performance. Not helped by... a) Losing Torres (after being kicked to f*** for 30 minutes) b) Losing Gerrard who was by far and away the best player on the pitch for the first half c) That c*** of refereee

I was sure we signed him for 7m euro, not £7m, at a time when the pound was stronger too. I thought he cost about £5.5m... everywhere seems to be reporting £7m...

If Wolves had got a draw, the discussion would be meaningless... but they didn't. They got beat 3-0. Anyway... I agree Wolves have probably broken Premier League Rules and have certainly not adhered to the spirit of them. However, that's up to them and I don't see what could or should be done about it.

I blame the manager for us winning tonight. He's as much to blame as the players. Those f***ing owners can f*** right off though. It was in spite of them. I'm being f***ing serious.

Good chant for Rafa on 17 mins.

More likely it comes down to the players. It comes down to players that know that pretty much however they perform they won't be replaced 'cos if they're sold, the manager isn't given the money to sign replacements. There's a f***ing malaise around the club at the moment and blaming Benitez for not having the magic touch to solve all our problems is just s***.

The ref is a c***. Arshavin is a c***. Lou Macari and Jon Champion are both c****.

I think we'll get decent money for Dossena even if it's not all up front and dependent on appearances. We might get a decent deal involving babel if he does well wherever he goes. Worse case scenario is we let him go on load and he's doesn't improve / make the dutch WC squad. We'd get him back in the summer worth even less. Although I think it's more likely if we let him go on loan, he'll improve. As for Voronin... We need another forward if we let Babel go.

Hear hear! I'll be well pissed off if it goes down to the last game and we get through...

I've been thinking this meself for a bit. I don't think Pellegrino knows what he's doing. I've heard he does excellent steak though.

Come and get me plea
