Badddd mistake from Carson but to be honest a bad decision by McClaren to play such an inexperienced goalie in a big game. Crouch looked good tonight. I kept wondering if Gerrard was playing himself into the ground and was fearful he'd get injured. Lampard was s***e and annonymous apart from the peno (which wasn't in my opinion) Bridge was terrible and Cole was all flicks and tricks. I'd backed over 3.5 goals and 4.5 goals on a hunch that England would go for it and Croatia being no mugs, so it was a good evening's work. I also laid England to be winning at H/T at 5/4 and laid it back after Croatia's 2nd goal. I had a near miss on Russia draw / win H/T/F/T for 4/1. I was really tempted to lay big the England win at 1.62 on Betfair but chickened out in the end.

looked like a defender whacked the ball away and Murphy was ducking to avoid being hit. Gerrard was a few yards away from him at the time, he slid after he was fouled

He played very well tonight. It'll be a shame to see him go, he reads the game brilliantly

Me too. I think it's really important we get at least a point, I'd be over the moon with three. Defeat gives us problems with Portsmouth tanking at the moment and Blackburn (if they won) on an extended run. Arsenal. Man Utd and Chelsea are in form at the moment, too Sadly, with this team I can see us grinding out a point rather than taking the game to Blackburn. Hope springs eternal, mind. C'moooooooonnnnn!!!!!
