  1. Arsenal are missing their best players to injury. If they don't get them back fast I can easily see them losing.
  2. Riise was the worst player on the pitch, but yeah, Momo, Crouchihno and Voronin are not good enough for the squad - same with JAR. Thinking about it we had to start Hobbs. Sami is getting on a bit to be playing 3 games in a week. We weren't unlucky, we were s***.
  3. I suspect Gillette sees through Parrys veil of competence and wants to talk openly to Rafa, on his own.
  4. Most of the blame for that is down to Rafa. Like many others, as soon as I saw the team sheet I thought it was going to be a bad night. Normally I keep away from the forums after a defeat not wanting to hear knee jerk reactions, BUT in this case team selection was ridiculous, Rafa was wrong and hasn't learnt from previous seasons not to take games like this for granted. Riise at LB with no one in front of him ? 4-3-3 with Momo and Masch in the middle and Voronin and Crouch up front ? Giving Hobbs a start is one thing, but doing it in a game with off the wall team selection and tactics is another.

  6. I know exactly what you are talking about; at first look I thought it was a pen. Both sides carried on playing. They showed a replay a couple of minutes later and their player touched the ball before Torres.
  7. No you're wrong, Their player touched the ball before Torres. Ref and linesman were c****, but in each case our penalty shouts were rightly called.
  8. As said, you are overlooking the fact the replays show not a single one of our penalties should have been given. The only bad decision was the linesman giving them a pen. Abysmal performance from half of our team; poor team and tactics selection from Rafa.
  9. Seeing the replays none of our penalties should have been given. In each case their player gets a touch on the ball. They shouldn't have had a pen, thats the only bad call and thats down to the linesman not the ref. Rafa needs to take this on the chin, move on the players who aren't good enough and learn not to take away teams for granted in the prem.
  10. Win, lose or draw I didn't expect us to play well when I saw the starting line up. How the f*** can anyone continue to rate Riise ? Voronin and Sissoko aren't good enough. Changing to a 4-3-3, with Riise at LB, Sissoko and Masch in the middle and a first start for Hobbs is just a poor, poor decision by Rafa. Trying to blame it on the ref is just wearing blinkers. Normally I can take a loss on the chin and just stay away from the forum for a couple of days, but in this case did anyone erally think it would turn out any different with the starting line up and sticking to the starting formation ?

    Rafa

This is all a load of b******s. There are only two sources Bascombe can have - Parry or Rafa. And I don't believe Rafa would keep on pushing and pushing like this as, if it was him, it would cost him his job. The only person who could possibly know what is going on with G & H is Parry. So its either Parry leaking stuff at the behest of G & H or its a product of the totally brokedown relationship between Parry and Rafa. My best guess - Bacombe is being fed this stuff by Parry, who is at the centre of the whole s*** stirring mess, in return for Parry promising him future exclusives. You have to ask yourself, after all thats happened in the last couple of weeks why is Parry stone cold silent and its the owners who are making statements. Some Chief Exec he is. He's kept his powder dry on Rafa for a long time and now he is sticking the knife in, stirring it up in the press anfd stirring it up between Rafa and G & H.
  17. I'll be surprised if Rafa doesn't get backing on Wednesday, like no manager ever has before. Staying behind at the end for 10 or 15 minutes singing his name would create a great show of support.
  18. Everything that is happening stinks of Parry s*** stirring to protect and further his position at the club.
  19. Its very telling that G & H underline Parrys position as Chief Exec in todays press statement http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N...071125-1919.htm With Foster not being here since the Arsenal game, Parry is their representative at the club.It wouldn't surprise me if some of the s*** that has been flying is not being helped by Parry. We all know Parry and Rafa have often not seen eye to eye. Parrys areas of influence and responsibility have been eaten away at over the last year or two (to the benefit of the club). Seems to me not only are G & H forced, at the moment, to concede responsibility to Parry, but he is the only check on Rafa. Parry has long kept his powder dry in his disagreements with Rafa; he's now making his play to underline and strengthen his influence at the club. Anyone know what is being delegated to Parry these days and what he has been working on ?

    Lucas

What about when he tackled himself and put the ball out of play, just past the half way line, with no Newcastle player within ten yards of him ? Lucas was outstanding today. We didn't miss Xabi, Stevie or Masch in the centre of midfield or protecting the back. Can't be a bigger compliment than that.
  22. Rafa must have been prepared to let Momo go in the summer, as the bids made for him were presented to him and he turned them down. The signs seem to be that JAR is finally on his way out. All prudent stuff. In light of the above Masch needs to be signed up soonest as Momos replacement on permanent staff. With other clubs sniffing around Masch I can understand Rafas frustration.
  23. I read that as the FA stands to lose tens of millions of pounds, they had already started arranging a series of friendly tours for the middle of next year, before yesterdays game. ****ing livid about this, to be honest. edit : Ah well, every cloud etc
