  1. I really don't understand all the hype about maureen as a manager. A lot of people seem to have forgotten what a good succession of managers Chelsea had before him; each classy, each progressing the club and the squad. Maureen walked into the easiest job in world football, taking into the account the club and squad he inherited and how much money he has been given. I don't understand it when I hear people say that he's a great manager because he won the CL with poor little Porto. He had a fantastic array of players when he was at Porto; a very strong side (squad link here). He had one hard game in winning that too and got a jammy win against the Mancs, facing bloody Monaco in the final He is a good manager in the sense that he can employ one style of playing very well, but he isn't the sort of manager that can build a foundation for long term success, or employ various tactics depending on his opponents. Teams were learning how to deal with that style. Maybe I'm wrong but we'll see how he does in his next job if he doesn't get much money to spend. Lets see who comes in for him.
  2. f***ing ell, first sending off of the lads career and everyone wants rid of him. Get off the lads back.
  3. To be fair, the amount of hoofing we did last night you'd have thought he was playing.
  4. He's looked younger since he told heather to 'hop it'.

  6. Mancs were well p***ed off with that, apparently. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TKKUmVvvYU
  7. To be honest mate, if he does play both England games I don't think Rafa will pick him for a game or two after Xabi and Masch's perfomance in the centre yesterday; that'd make him re-evaluate his England commitment.

  9. I do agree there was a time that was the same at Anfield, but that doesn't make it right. . Time and again over the years at OT you know which way the decisions are going before the game starts. This is born out by the ridiculously low number of penalties given against you over the last decade at your gaff. One thing is for sure, you will need to improve big time in the near future because you have played very poorly the last four games, including yesterday, and barely deserve the 5 points you have got from 4 games - and thats been against crap opposition.
  10. So true and now we have Rafa saying it
  11. The Spanish lip readers amongst us can clearly see Rafa shouting instructions to Pepe just before the injury : 'Knee the Scouse c*** in the ribs.' Good bye and good luck Carra, looks like Talkshoite were correct after all - no bottle.
  12. 1. Torres 2. Momo 3. Voronin
  13. Rubbish, heres the manc side for their relegation 6 pointer this weekend : Van der Sar Neville Silvestre Evans Ferdinand Hargreaves Park Anderson Saha Rooney Ronaldo subs: Solskjaer, Foster, Cathcart, Dong, Gray Oh, sorry; thats the list of players injured or suspended.
  14. Stop posting rubbish and get your facts right. Heinze didn't even return from injury until the end of September - and still played more games than Evra. There were many times Heinze was preferred to Evra. If Evra was injured so much last term how the f*** can anyone claim he became first choice over the last year ? We'll see how good Evra is this season, especially towards the end when Giggs is tired. I will be very surprised if the Mancs aren't whinging about needing a new LB. Personally, I am well disappointed Heinze isn't coming. I think he is the perfect player for Rafa and under Rafa's coaching would have been immense for us.
  15. Absolute b******s. Keep hearing this s*** about how he lost his place but he played more games than Evra last term and ended the season captaining their side. The Mancs will miss Heinze this term; half a dozen games at LB for Silvestre or Evra with no decent defensive LB will see the Mancs whinging about them big time.
  16. I think thats a load of b****x. For more than a decade we've been taking it up the a*** from the PL et al, while the Mancs - and now the Chavs - have had preferential treatment in numerous ways. I regret the way it is, but unless you stand up to the numpties in the way Rafa is, the way Taggart and Maureen have in the past, they continue to disregard you. Its also a clear challenge to the two man Premier League (f***ing stupid calling two men a committee) pair who sided with Taggart and Gills say-so yesterday, rather than the black and white paper in front of them.
  17. I'm guessing triangles have three points.
  18. Felt like crying reading that; the bloke is class, through and through. Hope we play against him one day - he will get a reception the likes of which are reserved for a very few.
  19. Best post evah on Red Cafe. http://www.redcafe.net/showthread.php?t=167797
  20. About f***ing time the Manc t***s won something this season. The Premier League were very unlikely to rule against the Mancs in a dispute with an employee in this manner. Their ruling seems based on assumptions and giving less weight to the written letter than to these assumptions eg the Mancs trasfer policy - what about Veron. The letter, from this statement, does not state that he could only get an international transfer, as is being reported. It was always going to the Court of Law via an appeal, which is what will now happen. Both sides knew this. Its a win-win for us anyways, with Ginsoak and the Mancs upper management having to spend days travelling all over the show to give evidence away from the club.
  21. I can't see his team letting him go; they have a relegation battle 6 pointer this weekend.
  22. It certainly affected Maureens approach to the game eg bringing Alex on for Malouda for the last ten minutes.
  23. I think he is just incompetent, but its silly to compare a booking for persistant fouling to a penalty decision based on an incident a few yards in front of him. Styles was demoted to one or two Championship games last year for similar howlers. It was interesting that when Keith Hackett was interviewed today and was asked about what would happen to Styles, he said they couldn't take the action they should because referees are a limited resource. A limited resource FFS - how much money is coming into the game and yet the guy in charge of the refs actually underlined that they can't ensure quality of referees because they are a limted resource.
  24. Keith Hackett, referee chief, being interviewed on Sky. Admits Styles got it wring, says Styles admits he got it wrong and is gutted. Hackett has phoned Rafa to apologise. Styles not refereeing next weekend as punishment. So thats okay then........ edit : also said that what happened with the yellow was that he kept hold of it by mistake, when we presume he is showing it to Essien, when indicating the indirect free kick and wasn't showing it to anyone. Also said this 'may' be the subject of further action.
