Ridiculous display by a 'top flight' referee. That will be the last we will hear about it, though. Totally f***ing robbed.
-
To be fair, most of that time he has spent vieing for a place with Steve Warnock and go-gadget legs Traore. Theres been other positions that have been in more need of attention, but Rafa has constantly been trying to bring in a left back.
-
To be fair, he's made mistakes in the past, he's learnt from them and what he is saying is true. The positive aspect is he is prepared to back our team in whatever way is necessary. Neither of them have been fortunate enough to be involved with such a big team or be involved with the worlds greatest fans before

Chinny isn't on the programme any more and they've changed the name. Same old b******s last week, though. Soccer AM is absolute crap. Enjoyed the show they used to do before Soccer Am existed, when they used to actually talk about football, tactics and the teams.

Can't help but respect Keane. He hates us but then he hates everyone, so thats fair enough.

Calm down, no-one is knocking you. Fantastic achievement to not lose at home, against ten man Reading, with an unbiaised ref. Was it just me or were Scholes and Giggs starting to look their age ?

Its all this lads fault : http://www.redcafe.net/showthread.php?t=166429 Quote : I wouldn't be suprised if this was being linked to off RAWK Hate to let them down Thought the ref was disgraceful today.

Heinze set to buy out united contract....
Flight replied to Brutus the barber's topic in General Football Discussion
A solid defence is the absolute foundation of any Rafa team. The question is how much covering do the rest of the team have to do for the defenders. How much covering do each of the defenders need ? JAR needs far more than anyone else. There is always three of our player covering him every time our opponents attack our left flank - sometimes its central defenders, sometimes midfielders. When we face quality opposition with a strong right wing it becomes too much of a liability to allow us to attack properly, without getting caught out on the break. A more solid defender would free up those players to have less defensive duty. Heinze is exactly the player we need and I reckon he would flourish under Rafas coaching. Sorry Cobs, its not just this year. Some of us have been saying for three years he isn't good enough. He has a lot of weaknesses and his presence is causing other people to have more defensive duties than they should have, quite apart from his lack of ability in other parts of the pitch. -

They don't want to let him go. he only has two years left on his contract and won't sign another, so they have to sell him. Best left back in the league by miles I agree with absolutely. What you are missing out is he has only played part of a season since then. He didn't come back until the end of September, missing pres season, August and September. What hasn't been noticed is how much the Mancs game changed last season. Everything was down the wings, simply because they didn't have a midfield. Yet he played more games last term than Evra, their so called first choice. The most important thing to me is that Heinze is absolutely perfect for a Rafa team. Under Rafas coaching I am absolutely sure that we wouldn't just see Heinze regain his form, but that he would be at his best ever. If we sign him I believe he would be our most important signing this year. He would free up a lot more attacking potential from the people around him. -
Lehmann is 38 in November. Harder to replace a top keeper than a striker, as both us and the Mancs have found out over the last 15 years. Lehmann really has kept them in masses of games. They could be in real trouble unless they replace him immediately.

Only if there is no International masters the same weekend.

Aside from this present article, he has always had a big mouth. He was one of the people mouthing off the most about Owen needing to leave LFC to win/achieve anything. About people criticising our new signings and team, I think we have looked very good in attack, considering what little time they have played together. And far too much being read in the P'mouth game. Distin and Campbell were excellent that game, James was MotM for me. Yet we still created a number of good opportunities. Kewell looked terrific.

From RAWK : From Thelawyer.com : Quote Blackstone Chambers has scored its second instruction on a disputed football transfer, after being brought in to secure Argentine defender Gabriel Heinze's release from Manchester United FC. Andrew Green has been instructed by Hill Dickinson partner Richard Green on behalf of Heinze. Andrew Green is also part of the team acting for the agents of Carlos Tevez in their dispute with West Ham United FC. The dispute is between Heinze and his current club Manchester United. The club has refused to allow Heinze a transfer to rival club Liverpool FC, with the player instructing lawyers to push the move through before the transfer deadline at the end of August. Green said that the dispute will be settled through arbitration, rather than the courts. Brabners Chaffe Street is acting for Manchester United. Liverpool has not yet instructed outside counsel. Note : as Green said that the dispute will be settled through arbitration, rather than the courts, this sounds like its a formality with only costs to be settled, unless heinze changes his mind. As an aside I think its bloody hilarious that those last quotes from Taggart could be coming from Rafa about Heinze : I feel more confident about getting him now because the agent is confident enough to take it to the High Court. "You can be embarrassed there if it is not right and lose everything. He must be very confident regarding the situation with.... "I would imagine it will be done before the deadline, and we will wait for him anyway if we have to. "Last summer we didn't go for him because we weren't sure of the arrangement." -

http://www.football-lineups.com/games/?t=M...gn=12.2&g=7 Theres a fair few senior players in those teams mate. Still its not the point and its not how the record books will look at it or list it. Captain of their team at the end of a title winning season, trying to force through a move to LFC straight after. Its there in black and white -

He's only just 29, so he has at least a few years left in him. He was their player of the year and one of the best LBs in the world, just 24 months ago. That playing in such an attacking side. He was injured 10 Sept 05 and didn't play again for them until 23 Sept 06, missing pre season and all of August and September. Anyone would expect a poor season after that. He was also playing in a side that attacked down the wings a lot more last term. With their midfield decimated, everything they did was down the wing. He still made 36 appearances for them last term. He has fully recovered from his injury and looked at another way has had a full years rest. I don't think his strengths fit into the style pf play the Mancs employ now. I think he is absolutely perfectly suited to Rafas style of play and would find his best form under Rafas coaching. I'll be made up if we get him. Pissing Taggart off would just be a Brucie bonus. -

Heinze was the Mancs captain for the last games of the season, when they confirmed winning the Prem, including when the Chavs made a guard of honour for them walking out, lead by Heinze, at Stamford Bridge. Giggs only came on as a sub in their final game, which was against West Ham, but Heinze was the captain for that game. Giggs was captain for the FA Cup Final. Captain of their team for their last games of the season and now wants to move to us. No wonder Taggart is on the verge of imploding -

One thing is clear, with Rafa saying we are still pursuing it Elisha was obviously bang on again when he said we had agreed terms etc with Heinze himself. -
As said in the Heinze thread, Taggart made Heinze captain for the last few games of last season, including when they picked up the Prem trophy. If you don't think it will affect the whisky nosed twunt that he and his agent are trying to make a move here happen, then I don't know what would.

Two years ago he was by far the best LB in the country, voted the Mancs best player of the year. 1. He was injured on 10 Sept 05. He didn't play again for them until 23 Sept 06. He missed the whole of pre season and Aug/Sept. Of course he was going to have a poor season. 2. He had a poor season, but he still played for the Mancs 36 times in one of the best seasons they have ever had. 3. Taggart isn't giving him a transfer because he doesn't rate him, its because he has two years left on his contract and because his agent has been making clear for 18 months that Heinze wanted out (straight from Taggarts mouth). 4. As a LB his style is absolutely perfect for Rafas style of play. If he comes to us Rafa will get the best out of him. I will be absolutely chuffed if we get him; first defensive LB we have had at the club for many years. -
It surprised me that he was so open in saying this after everyone at the club playing everything so close to their chest. Wouldn't surprise me if we signed more than one more new player.
