Sutty =

He seemed confident of playing during his press conference and said its improving all the time - I saw the whole thing so unless there was a separate one for press dunno where they got it from.

Playing in a world cup is the pinnacle of any footballers career, its what they dream about when they were kids, to win it would be fantastic. I'd also cant wait to see the LFC players shine on the world stage - so deffo the WC option for me.

Cheers for that, did he say it had the darth vader outline on the front with the white pinstripes or is it plain red?

Interesting cheers for that, I can see quite a few of the squad getting peed off with the route the Chavs are taking by buying BIG but ageing players. They are really setting their stall out for the CL. I think FL going to Barca would be a good move for him he could play attacking football instead of the stifling play the chavs have adopted recently.

Djibs so sorry this has happened again. Every top player should play in the World Cup, hopefully your time will come again

Must not make the obvious comment...........

Smacks of desparation but.. Southgate appointed as Boro boss Southgate is hoping to take over as manager from Steve McClaren Middlesbrough have appointed Gareth Southgate as their new manager. Southgate, who won 57 caps for England, joined Boro from Aston Villa in a £6.5m deal in summer 2001, and has made more than 200 appearances for the club. The 35-year-old defender has been given the job despite not possessing the relevant Uefa coaching qualifications. Club chairman Steve Gibson said: "We have fast-tracked Gareth because we let our previous manager, Steve McClaren, become the new England coach." More to follow. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ugh/5052126.stm

You loan out kids on the verge of the 1st team not the clubs most expensive player. We are selling him to get the cash for someone we want, not cos he feels unloved by Rafa but is coming back next year!

I liked the bit where he was scurrying around the house looking for socks - how normal! Unfortunately I then hung on and watched that annoying Rooney w***fest afterwards. It could have been quite interesting if it wasnt for that nob Paddy McGuinness trying to be Mr Testosterone

Think GS still has to complete his UEFA B licence let alone the A one. At least Roeder was half way through his before he fell ill.

Exciting times eh!
