  1. You gotta be s***ting me? If you can't see he slipped there's no hope for you. And there's no way Benett saw that, he was facing the other way. Disgraceful, criminal piece of refereeing.
  2. Rooney 2-0 Toon. 14 minutes gone.

    Luis Garcia

It would certainly explain a few things, not least Kev's vague post the other day. Hope not, I really like the guy.
  4. 2-2 in extra time. EDIT:Macclesfield have scored a third in injury time of extra time.
  5. Met Ronnie Whelan in Southport the other year. Does that count?
  6. f***ing hell. RIP Mrs Mac. YNWA Gary.
  7. Morientes is in the squad because he's got a terrific record at International record (like Baros for the Czech Rep). Del Horno's alright going forward but he's suspect as hell defensively - that's why Antonio Lopez is the current first choice LB at the minute. Capdevilla's a better defender too. Disagree about Juanito too, he's been one of the most consistent defenders around in Spain for years. The midfield looks very narrow, there's only Luis and Joaquin in there who you would class as wide players. Senna can play there, but's he's more a central midfielder these days, or was last the time I looked. I think you'll see Luis play midweek, probably wide left too.
  8. 'kin hell, it's like Century FM in here. "80's, 90's and now" Barnes. Fowler. Hamann.
  9. Checked through every season - the best is the 78-79 season. I've seen a six, an eight, a nine, and a couple of tens. Do you know that we conceded less goals at home under Evans in a couple of seasons than we ever did under Ged?
  10. Best I've seen so far is the 78-79 season where we conceded 4 at Anfield all season. Scored 51. F*ck me.
  11. Can't get passed 496
  12. That's soooo 2005 dahling.
  13. As Anny mentioned yesterday, how is that any different (if it is indeed true) to the piss and dogs*** hurled at Liverpool fans for years at OT? F*ck 'em.
  14. And who won it last season with a worse team and worse strikers (arguably)
  15. They were talking about the reaction of the Liverpool fans to Smith's injury. McCarthy said that although the likes of the Riise song was awful, in fairness the chants stopped when the Kop saw the reaction of the players on the pitch and it finally dawned it was a really serious injury. They also linked the crowd's reaction to the standard of play acting in today's game where players god down for little or nothing, not that I entirely agree with that by the way but it is a fair point. McCarthy then said that anyone involved with United shouldn't really be allowed to get on their high horse after the "equally as sickening chants that came from the away end during the game".
  16. The journos on Jimmy Hill's show are defending the Liverpool fans pretty much, and Paul McCarthy has condemned the United fans for what they were singing. Makes a change.
  17. "Cisse, how's your leg, Cisse Cisse how's your leg". That's why he went and celebrated in front of them when he scored the winner.

    The Kaiser

Hang on, I'll try again. At his best Makelele is as good as Didi Hamann. That better?

    The Kaiser

Absolute vintage Didi today, at his best he's as good as Makelele.
  21. Surely we should be supporting the team before anything else Anny?
  22. You could level that at Traore in most of his displays. I'm not a fan of Warnock at all, and I think he's actually our worst left back.
  23. Ste M

    Morientes

Thought he did well for the goal and then for the rest of the game. he needs to start showing himself for 90 minutes though, there's real competition now for those two starting spots, and even Crouchy's place isn't guaranteed now. I just hope that at least one of the four can really come to the fore and say "right, I'm the number one striker - I'll score the goals and be the main threat".
  24. What's wrong with the words 'football club' nowadays? Not 'brand friendly'?
  25. Murph - he was at Rangers for a couple of years. Not sure what his religious beliefs are, but for a few Celts the fact he's played for Rangers is probably neough to upset them. And there were a few on SSN earlier.
