I recorded the game and watched it knowing what had been said on the forum. It seemed to take alberto 15-20mins to get into the game, as to start with he was giving the ball away a lot. Obviously from that point he moved the ball around intelligently. I think some of the praise for that performance is over the top, given the standard of opposition. He clearly has technical quality, but I worry about his fragility both physically and mentally. He seems to me to be a bit of a flat track bully, a role we defo need in this league, but I don't see where he fits in tactically unless it is off suarez as a lone striker, or suarez is pushed wider in a front 3. For the 90k per week wages he is reportedly on I think he needs to play a bigger role than he seems capable of doing.

Why are people expecting uefa to do something in the next few days/weeks? They rarely move quickly and I thought ffp was being introduced gradually? I actually wonder whether uefa will quite happily go after city as strongly as possible - they can send out a message to the other clubs, without upsetting any of the 'old money' clubs who they might be loathe to lose from the CL due to their much wider popularity and therefore proportionate impact on television rights income

Rules say max squad 25, 17 foreign, 8 homegrown Club read it as you must have minimum of 8 homegrown in the squad so sign players to get to the 8 Rules actually say must not have more than 17 foreign (ie no min homegrown figure) so we could have had a squad of 23 with 17 foreign and 6 homegrown Story goes club misunderstood rules and signed jones to ensure a min of 8 homegrown when they didn't need to
