  1. Was watching in the pub and pre game we were discussing who'd give torres a whack. Everyone saying skrtle, I went for agger. One looks hard, the other is hard
  2. Whatever you think about the players and prices, the owners have shown massive balls with the decisions made today. Hope the gamble works

  4. They would need to change style of play - they still lump balls in drogbas direction, which as we saw under he who shall not be named does not suit torres at all

  6. Unusual times call for unusual measures. Going forward I hope for owners the supporters can trust and let them get on with it. Fan involvement in running the club scares me - you only have to look at the range of views on here, some of which are frankly bizarre, to see the masssive potential pitfalls
  7. f*** off to the left f*** off to the riiiiiiiiiiiight f*** off christian purslow, you were really s****
  8. f***ed over by mr bosman more than any club was
  9. There were lots of rumours early on that he was trying to shift him on. No doubt Maxi was on the infamous Purslow list
  10. Re the latest stage in the spoofers excuse book (which it might be) - This appeal to bring in his type of players could also have been prompted by a couple of things - comolli making the transfer decisions and ignoring roy's views and/or getting his excuses in early ahead of getting sacked. All speculation of course, but its what came to my mind
  11. Whilst the early signs are very encouraging that he is a good manager, my concern is that he is rated so highly because of his prior links with mourinho. If he had been an assistant to anyone else would he be rated in the same way?
  12. Look at our record when sammy has been in positions of responsibility under ged, rafa and rfh. We've been s*** most of the time. Coincidence?
  13. Presumably players like el zhar, plessis, brouwer, simon etc. Doesn't exactly give a feeling of confidence to the reserves, who he's already slagged off more than once
  14. Ashes in the bag. f*** off purslow
  15. Maggie Simpson
  16. I think there are differences. Even if it wasn't working you could see what rafa was trying to do. With RFH there is a plan emerging but it is an unremittingly negative one. Rafa's signings of alonso and garcia gave a glimpse of what he was looking to bring in. RFH brings in konchesky and poulsen (plus meireles but undermines signing a quality player by sticking him out of position). Look at the age profile of the signings - rafa signed early to mid twenties players to kick on. RFH signs late twenties for last big contract. It all compares unfavourably which is why looking back further damns RFH as if the evidence on the pitch and in his press conferences wasn't enough
  17. Its coming up to midnight, santa flying through the sky with a sleigh full of presents. Hope he brings purslow f*** all f*** OFF PURSLOW

  20. The commercial reality is something I've been pondering too. Surely Roy is damaging the value of the 'brand' (hate that term) not just with his results but every time he opens his mouth, Can you imagine the discussions with sponsors? 'LFC - we'll accept £10m for you be be one of our partner organisations. Organisation - that much? Even your own manager says you are a bit s*** and need to lower expectations. We'll give you £2m.'
  21. Phone in to ask about spending plans during the transfer window (they'll like that topic). Then hit them with a request that they give the current manager NOTHING to spend as he is so useless. And don't let him sell anyone
  22. Chelsea's recent results have also put our win against them into a bit more perspective
  23. Apparently his first tonight was his 50th career goal. That is a horrible record considering his debut was 2002
  24. "An Association, having received a request from another Association, is obliged to issue an International Transfer Certificate providing the player is not under written contract to a Club, is not suspended from football for disciplinary reasons, and has fulfilled all obligations to the former Club." He wouldn't get international clearance according to the rules
  25. It applies if he moves. It is a 7 game ban, so if he moved to England where there are more games the ban might end before early Feb, but it would mean buying a player for them to sit out a few games.
