There was a time many years ago that I was very depressed for a prolonged period but did not feel able to talk to anyone about it. Much later having come out the other side, I did begin to speak to a few people about how I had felt - none had any idea, including my parents. One thing that has struck me - in every photo of him I have seen published since his death he is unsmiling. This may be an editorial thing, but it has made me wonder about whether he was hiding depression
