Currently banned until the beginning of February for biting an opponent. Potential nut job?

Its been confusing me! To be fair I changed mine first I believe
-
Think you may have me confused with 'Epic Swindle'.
-
With your username should we ignore that ringing endorsement?
-
Remember this is the same chairman who justified sacking Benitez by telling a supporter questionning the decision "I note your opinion doesn’t seem to be shared by the media" Hodgson was the outstanding candidate for the media guttersnipes

I loved Rafa when he was here and didn't want him to go - although I have since come round to the view that both he and the club needed a break from each other due to all the internal politicking that was going on. I would be happy to have him back at some stage, but i think it needs more water to flow under the bridge before he does. I think the biggest reason people would take him back immediately is because of the fraud currently in post (one of the big reasons I didn't want Rafa to go was the big fear, based on all the newspaper leaks, that Hodgson was coming in). If we had a better man (and manager) in post then there would not be all this pining for Rafa. I would bin Hodgson immediately, look to get someone in short term (longer if they succeed) and would not consider Rafa until his Inter deal runs out in 18 months. If within that period someone has come in, taken us forward and got us challenging, then that is obviously a club in a healthier position. At that time Rafa may not be needed.

Whilst I would have kept Insua as back up, I did not have a problem with the calls for needing a new left back. We obviously did (and still do). The issue has got to be if you are loaning out Insua the person you bring in has to be better. Konchesky isn't. I tried to wipe out all recollection of Julian Dicks from my memory, but I think Konchesky is playing even worse than that c*** did. Worst 3 senior players in our squad? Poulsen, Jones, Konchesky. Says everything you need to know about the manager

I think they have accepted the sale has gone through (that was what the court cases last week were about) and that they could not stop it legally. What they are seeking now is damages - presumably on the basis that whilst Broughton legally had the power to sell he did not use that power correctly, which was at H+G's expense
-
Has anyone found an email address for the new owners? I want to send a long, fully explained, analysis of why Hodgson has to go - tactics, signings, team selection, previous history - the lot. ie not a "sack the manager" email which is easily ignored
-
I particularly enjoyed his scorched earth policy on H+G's reputations - the interviews he did earlier in the week where he ripped them a new one were fantastic.
-
What they appear to have lost is about £140m - which was the amount in 'cash' that they had to put in at the last refinance. Both undoubtedly borrowed it against other assets - we know G did from Mill. No idea how they get to £1bn damages - presumably loss of profit, sold below market value, punitive damages due to illegal actions of board. That kind of rubbish

I don't think Skrtel has kicked on in the way it was hoped/expected. I can understand the signing, it just hadn't worked out. To be fair to Knox, he was calling the CB issue months ahead of anyone else - and I agreed completely with him at the time. Like the lack of back up striker, lack of a decent left back etc it is now filed under "resolve once new owners are in and we have money"
-
Not a chance we would get most of those prices. Only way we would get close is if we were an unwilling seller. Once more than one start to be sold it becomes clear it is a firesale and the prices will drop further

Giggs has longevity - 20 years in the top flight - plus a sack full of medals in his favour. His peak however was nowhere near the level of sustained brilliance achieved by Barnes. That clip sums it up - could score with either foot or head, quality crosses, close control when dribbling, very good turn of pace as well. What a difference he would make to the current team. Barnes every time
-
In Brazil he played box-to-box, whereas for us he has been instructed to sit and shield for most of his time here. Still don't think he is mobile enough for this league but I think he could make a decent career elsewhere
-
Formation and selection smacks of 'keeping it tight and hope Gerrard and Torres can win it for us'. We aren't even keeping it tight. My one wish for the second half - Konchesky at least tries to stop a cross coming in. Hopefully Roy will change it before the 75th minute.
-
I remember under Rafa that some of the loan deals were structured so that we paid the player's wages if he played for the other team, but they did if he wasn't picked. Seems Wigan have a similar idea to encourage the young player getting games which is obvioously the point of loaning them out.
-
Coached a team to national pan disability 7-a-side winners. Yours? I'm not pretending to have a better CV than Roy. I'm not being paid £2m+ per year either. I'm just commenting that I'm not impressed with his targets - even allowing for the obvious constraints.
-
Did the same, but filled the United squad with goalkeepers on max wages and max contract length, having sold all the outfield players. 5 years on, 5 relegations, they still had 75% keepers in the squad. Back on topic - not impressed with any of Roy's targets (or signings) to be honest
-
So Barca have added Villa and Masch to an already half decent side. Any bets on them coming for Pepe within the next 2 windows to be the cherry on the icing on the cake?
-
We can only hope we have sunk that low
