Seemingly turned down an Italy call up, suggestion it's over fitness reasons. Maybe he can't do 3 games in a week, so left out of CL squad?

What is killing Villa in particular is that they have bought so badly over the last few years. Not Moshiri Everton bad, but not far off. Wanted loads of money. Newcastle did better with their initial splurge, but needed to sell some earlier and reinvest (ie the Coutinho approach)

The business we did was great. Guehi would have elevated it. Still think we could be one wide player short - relying heavily on Chiesa and Rio could be a gamble, particularly around AFCON

I think Gyokores will probably score a lot against bottom half, but doesn't look like a difference maker for them in the really big games. Obviously Arteta's tactics in big games won't help him

If it was 3 Virgils, then I'd watch! But they have absolute cloggers at the back. Even when Wilder played 3 at the back he had the centre halves overlapping. Amorim is a one trick pony, that worked in a crap league

Not that I care, but the narrative about his defensive abilities continues. But no-one raises the same questions over Walker, James etc, even though they regularly make mistakes defensively

Two tough opponents for him to start against, no time on the ball at all. Hopefully will get a bit more space in the coming games and show what he can do.
