  1. I listen to it as well. I think the Darwin stuff is similar to the conversations we've had on here - looking at the raw materials, if you can harness it etc etc then he could be exciting/a threat. However unlike us they haven't watched him twice a week for three years and realised he is fundamentally flawed for the absolute top level. Still wouldn't surprise me if he did better in a less pressured environment
  2. They don't have the squad to cope with a CL and league campaign, nor seemingly the money to equip them to do it.
  3. Better than Trent

  5. That was the worst version of Jones, but no part of the team functioned. Oh well, champions!
  6. Whether or not he turns out to be good enough, the players around him have really not helped today. Thought Trent was poor, Virgil kicks it off him for the og, Dom's hospital pass for the pen, don't even think his tackle deserved a yellow. Feel really sorry for him today

  8. Also from the Bournemouth point of view, if they have to sell Huijsen because of the release clause they then have no need for cash and can negotiate hard on any other sales
  9. I know we won't go for him, but i wonder if stylistically Solanke is the sort of forward Arne would like - physical, hard working, links play well and decent finisher. Has improved his finishing a lot since he was here
  10. Madrid is really only from galacticos era onwards. They used to be s***e for years
  11. Thought Bradley started the second half well. Got into some good positions but couldn't find the final pass
  12. City were in our heads despite the gap. Plus 30+ years of not getting it done. Heads were wobbling all over the place
  13. I'm also happy with how it worked out. As long as we could have also had Mac and Grav I would have taken Bellingham over Dom for the greater output. Would have lost some of the energy though, so balance might not be as good
  14. Tbf I would have him playing instead of Dom
  15. I've been wondering if we have been planning for this for a while. Otherwise why sign Ramsey when we already had Bradley coming through? Clearly he wasn't the Bradley we know now, but the season we sign Ramsey has Bradley out on loan in the Championship absolutely dominating everything so clearly had something about him even at that point
  16. The return of Calvin Ramsey. Like a new signing
  17. The counter argument being that at their place we let the ref get in our heads and it contributed to putting us off our game. We should always try to make the ref a non factor. Occasionally that won't be possible
  18. Depends if you factor in 'current climate'
  19. PGMOL are not fit for purpose. I don't understand why the premier league, with all its money, won't do anything about it. Take the contract off them. Force change
  20. Another wild Pickford challenge as well
  21. Indeed. Or he took those jobs because the relationship had already broken down and he wanted to get away
  22. So many of these depend on whether we replaced the player with better or the team was successful afterwards. In those cases it is easy to be far more forgiving. Eg Coutinho - the initial annoyance is soon forgotten when you go on the incredible ride we did for the couple of years after he left, combined with his own struggles.
  23. And from recollection is fairly short, which could be an issue over here
  24. When did kelleher last play? That's the odd thing, bringing him in from the cold without giving him Southampton first
