  3. Ha ha I had no memory of them missing that pen and getting another. Mad.

  6. I reckon I could count on the fingers of one hand the number of teams who have come to Anfield in my life time and genuinely looked to take the game to us. A couple of Arsenal sides under Wenger. That Barca team with Overmars and all them. Maybe City in the Covid match. United under Ferguson never did. Sit deep and hit us on the break
  7. I doubt it given some of the views he's expressed in the past

  9. Bye then
  10. We're the right mindset and aura away, which is a massive part of the whole point.
  11. Never really been on the radar to get pissed off by them. I'm sure I would if they ever became relevant. Actually, they were very moody at a League Cup game at Roker back in about '95 when Rob Jones got sent off for twatting one of their's for snapping John Barnes so f*** them. Was hairy until we got off the train in Newcastle and they all ran off to batter Geordies. But yeah, they're off the list. For now.
  12. It's spelt Toblerone mate
  13. It always is, including in the handful of games we've won. We were all dead happy patting ourselves on the back for that years as signs of being mentality monsters. Which it was. Which means the opposite is now true.
  14. Man United have been massively Tory since forever basically I think so His 'apology' pretty much literally says 'I'm not sorry, I'm right and tough s*** if you got offended'

  16. f*** you Swipe, If you don't like my posts just put me on ignore like everyone else
  17. I think it was 10k at the Etihad. It's absolutely criminal.
  18. 'I'm just going to give it' Mad
  19. Because yes, long term he'd rather have the 35m to spend on someone else. Which isn't the same as feeling that he can't add anything right now or that if all things were equal he still wouldn't be playing him. If he felt that, why would he want the clause dropped? What's the point unless he wants to play him? It really isn't hard, this.
  20. It is literally just because people laughed at Amorim's dogmatic obsession with it regardless of the personnel available to him and now think they'd somehow be admitting he was right all along if they accept the possibility that another manager with different players could make it work better. It's weird. I couldn't care less if that's how we played it gets us winning or, in the short term, if it just ends this current hell and means Slot goes.
  21. Food for thought. Maybe letting referees just make up new laws on the hoof could start off well as it instils some common sense in very particular circumstances until it spirals into them just choosing to do whatever they want. You know what it's like? Anakin Skywalker using the force exactly as he wanted instead of listening to Yoda and ending up as Darth Vader with the destruction of whole planets on his conscience.
  22. Of course not, but people just have to accept it. Much, much worse when referees decree themselves the arbitors of when and which laws to suspend.
  23. I've got no problem with it. The referee applied the laws of the game correctly. It is literally all he is there to do. Them thinking that they are smart enough to do otherwise in order to preserve the spectacle or whatever is where the problems really start.
  24. He couldn't get rid of Quansah and Elliott quick enough. He refuses to pick Endo. He could use Robbo more, even at right back in the current circumstances. All of them perfectly serviceable squad players. I'll give him a pass on Chiesa cos I don't think he's close to good enough any more. That's before you even get onto his seeming complete inability to harness young players in any meaningful way. He's clearly not responsible for all the errors in recruitment, especially as some of them pre-date him, but it seems like him and his defenders feel it is an abomination that he doesn't have at least two world-class players in every position and given that how could he possibly be expected to cope.
