He probably was better than I was seeing but he's still stepped it up massively.

Likewise, if it soothes you to say how technically good he is then crack on. It was obvious from literally his first game for us that he was technically at best a bit scruffy whilst also showing that he had potential nuisance value. He's neither better nor worse than that now, mostly because there are rudimentary parts of his game that aren't going to improve at his age. I don't really care how he does elsewhere, he is neither good enough nor stylistically right for us. Klopp wasn't infallible. Literally every manager we've had up to and before him has bought expensive turkeys, it happens.
