We are actually chasing Chelsea for a CL spot. Regardless of anything else we should not be giving them a player to help them beat us to that place, Tell Torres he is going nowhere. Besides I really resent that he and they have tried to stitch us up. They have obviously been talking for a while and the timing of his request could not have been worse for LFC. For once let's think about ourselvesand what's best for us. Forget this "unhappy player" rubbish. He has kept his part of the bargain with Chelsea by burning bridges with us. If we hold out by pricing him out of their reach he may not be so keen to join them in the summer. He may then get a new attitude or we will get new bidders and time and opportunity to reinvest.

Roy invented Prozac so that people would put up with him.

He's not up to the job, we all know that, but of all the Liverpool managers we have ever had, I think he's the only one who doesn't care when we lose. He just accepts it, shakes hands and toddles off. That's what gets me most of all.

He was back in England being asked about an English club by English journalists. He will always have the moral high ground for fighting for the soul of Liverpool against those avaricious spivs who once owned us, even though he risked and ultimately lost the job he so obviously loved for doing so.

I don't think NESV are naive. They know Hodgson is not good enough regardless of two league wins on the bounce.
