"The transaction, upon which a decision is close to be reached, will be worth £200m to £350m (€217m - €380m)." A spokesman for Fama declined to comment, but it appears that the Premier League could be set to welcome further money from the Middle East.

At the moment no one can refinance. Generally, its in both the bank's interest and the borrower's interest to kick it on in the hope that something turns up. Likely G&H (or LFC) will have paid a nice extension fee and maybe a higher margin on the debt. Six months indicates that something, like an equity injection or sale, may well be in the hopper. Usually a year's extension is more common, or what ever term it takes to make the loan facilities repayable in more than one year. Otherwise the accountants get jumpy when it comes to the annual report.
