  1. Saw you lurking on the match thread on this site when we were losing........seemed to go away when we pulled it back to 2-2. With the exception of that Rehash guy, thought the redcafe stuff was pretty par for the course and as you say nothiing you wouldn't see on here. The match report in the Observer was worse than anything on a utd site.
  2. Reckon that Zindane fellow could step up, I believe he has a track record
  3. Oh come on, what were they?
  4. Have we actually ever lost a peno shoot out? I remember winning againt Roma (84), Portsmouth (92), Brum (01), Spurs (Carling Cup last season), Milan, today....
  5. TBH I thought Cisse was poor, other than the goal obviously. I don't know what injury he had but he didn't seem to even try to get on the end of Mori's knockdowns. Kromkamp did well - always available as an outlet. There was onoe funny one where he crossed the ball, relaised thee was no oone on the end of it and got on the end of his own ball. Sami was immense -he is clearly superfit. Stevie has gone into another league.
  6. here you go http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/...board,14.0.html
  7. Yeah, picture quality was crap, especially compared to the regular saturday games. Just barely getting over to Cardiff for the ko was bad - took a while to get into it as a result. I remember Peter Brackley the commentator from the 1980s - he was complaining of gout today!! Drove me mad with all the rubbish about West Ham playing so positively to be 2-0 - it was an og and a gift from the keeper ffs.
  8. Have to agree fully. Riise got a bit better late on but still was way off the pace. Maybe havng a hurt Harry in front of him didn't help. Finnan on one leg was awesome. Pure technical ability.
  9. It just looks like we have nothing left. the less said aout Mori and Cisse the better.
  10. How can you compete with an og, a dreadful keeper error and a cross going into the net? especially without Garcia and now Kewell and Xabi....
  11. We really needed Kewell to be the Kewell of the semi final
  12. Clemence? Thought it was Paul Walsh? Riise is absolutley shocking. Everything is coming down his side. Kewell is not helping him at all. Xabi is way off it. SG is a bit unfocused.
  13. Great stuff, thanks for that. Pinned to the office wall!
  14. Arsenal's 6th choice striker (behind Henry, V Persie, Bergkamp, Adebayor & Reyes) is going to the WC with England. And the coach, who has nothing else to do but watch matches, has never seen him play. But he has time to go to Shanghai for a few days. Not that I care, like.
  15. Spot on with Ziege and Leo. Thought Ziege would be whipping in crosses all day to Heskey and Leo was the understated box-to-box player we really needed to make things work. Riedle was another disappointment. I know MO came though more quickly than was anticipated so his underperformance wasn't as much of an issue as it could have been. However I did think he would be a Gary Mac before we had Gary Mac.

    Carson

Westerveld was truely awful for Portsmouth at the start of the season. Disappeared from view and then played a couple of games for Everton....
  17. Kewell is a competent left sided midfielder. Nothing more. He is not the difference making, game changing, match winning player we thought we were getting 3 years ago. He definitely strikes me as exactly the guy Carra had in mind in that interview posted on here yesterday when he said that some players are good at the game but have no interest in it.
  18. And Baros scews up again....
  19. While happy for him, makes getting rid of FSP look a little rash. I know who I'd rather come on with 15 mins to go.
  20. On come on, what about the rather large guy in the number 9 shirt? Cisse was offside. That linesman got a couple of others wrong but not that one.
  21. Great move, Crouch should have scored. Looks like Stevie has started his engine....
  22. Sami has a tight hamstring per FSC.
  23. The ball just isn't dropping for us.... Looking a bit laboured, it has to be said. Didi is very static. Great save from a Cisse header just then but not really enough power on it
  24. Would have thought Tuesday was the quintessential Didi game? Is Xabi going to be ok
  25. http://football.guardian.co.uk/Match_Repor...,-61760,00.html not again. who is the tosser who wrote this? he is not the usual guy who reports on Liverpool. there's so much wroing with his piece...
