Didn't Statham actually have a physical and failed it? Think it was in Kenny's first season as manager. Benni McCarthy has been linked with almost every team in England over many many years.... Surely the greatest recurring link was VdV?

He really wasn't all that good today. The 'goal' was a clear o.g. - a very weak shot was going wide and Steve Watson couldn't resist sliding it in. As has been said before, ALT is neither one thing nor another.....not an out and out striker, not a midfielder.

Does anyone remember a game at Kenilworth Road in 1987 or 1988 when Craig Johnston (I think) spotted Nigel Spackman sitting on the balcony in one of those chalets? He pointed it out to some of the other players at a thow in and they all waved at Spackman. Anyone?
