    The more of these s*** books that come out, the quicker a lot of people will fall out of love with the game. Quite a few of my mates are nowhere near as interested as they used to be due to the amount of money involved to pay players who are no better than average and the attitude it seems to bring with it.

    I don't think anyone knows for definite that Rafa would use him exclusively as a full back. A right side of Alves & Gerrard/Pennant is as good as you would find anywhere.

    I would be interested to hear who people think we should have bought at that time instead of Houghton. If he was as bad as some make out surely that team would not have performed as well as it did?

    A lot of people (even some Reds I know) rate Roy Keane as the best midfielder they've seen, I think Gerrard will go on to be at least his equal, but for me, Souness is the CM that all players have to emulate. He had it all.

    One of the 4 that was possibly the best midfield this league has ever seen.

    If it is true that Spurs offered £10million for Stuart Downing then sack Southgate. He is a Championship player at best on that display today.
