I have seen MTK play recently but no idea if either of these played. MTK is a tiny club in Budapest and cost £3 to see the game. The standard was rubbish. I remember thinking none of this lot would get in the tranmere side let alone a prem div side. The best think was the beer being sold straight from crates inside the ground at 50p a bottle. That was much better than the football.

Spurs doing the deals. Effectively swapping bale for the Chimponda as Chavs want him and will pay 10 million. Plus mans breaking all uk records of nearly 40mill for berbatov. well 27 plus saha. Thats a lot of dosh to spend just breaking even let alone their own warchest. There is so much wonga slooshing around it is not true... -
This does not surprise me. He has failed in the CL. He has matched the previous manager but not taken them any further, dispite having a lot of money to play with. Lyon are the French Chelsea. Expected to win most domestic title and cup and a very good showing in CL. Time to try another mananger. Jose ???

Very interesting comments about buying players. Thinking about the Kuyt deal and the fact that Moores had to loan the club the money to fund it, makes you wonder what Parry was saying about this??? What would have happened if Moores had not funded it......

This spells the end of parry. G & H will push him out in the next 12 months. G & H did not have the business know how when they took over, and have quickly realised that neither does Parry, so he will be shown the door. You can bet that G & H will gets recommendations from Rafa as who to appoint.

Shevchenko Signed a 4-Year Contract With Chelsea at what £6 mill a year wages with 3 years to go. So there is still £18m of value in the contract. Milan are not going to offer anything like the 30 they received, More like 15m. So for this to happen Roman has to sanction a 15 mill right off and a massive player contract of say another 15m with means signing him will have cost roman 30 mill loss plus another 6 for his wages this year making a total of £36m for 1 years football. This deal will only be possible if sheva asks for the transfer. Cheaper to get rid of the one called maureen

One pair of Champions League tickets to win. One poker tourney. One pound to play. One last chance to go to Athens. Will you be the one? Virgin Poker has a pair of Champions League Final tickets (in the Liverpool end), and you have a chance to win them. On Monday night (14th May) at 8pm you can play in our own Champions League Final for just $2. The winner will get the golden tickets plus $500 for travel, with the rest of the prize pool being spread over the other top placed finishers. It?s that simple and because we?re only little old Virgin Poker there probably won?t even be lots of people playing for them! Registration is open already and with that prize on offer how can you not be a part of it? See you in Athens! Virgin Poker - More BS from the Eufa family. Will try the poker route.

Microsoft Southampton 2007
Greenoak replied to Nathan Explosion 's topic in General Football Discussion
for those without access Saints confirm takeover bid received Paul Allen SAINTS this afternoon confirmed they have received a preliminary approach from Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen regarding a potential takeover of the club. The Daily Echo carried a story this morning saying Allen, the 19th richest man in the world with an estimated fortune of £18b, was interested in investing. A statement issued to the Stock Exchange this afternoon said: "The board notes the recent rise in the Company's share price and confirms that it has received and is considering a preliminary approach which may or may not lead to an offer being made for the Company. "The board's consideration is at an early stage and there is no guarantee that any offer will be forthcoming. Allen already owns the Seattle Seahawks American football team and the Portland Trail Blazers basketball team. He still has an interest in Microsoft, who he co-founded with Bill Gates. advertisementA source close to Allen said he "believes there is long term investment value in UK soccer. The source added: '"Southampton is a sleeping giant, a family-supported club with traditional values, and we see the value in taking the brand global." Saints have been fruitlessly searching for new investors even since Michael Wilde replaced Rupert Lowe as chairman last summer. Wilde's failure to attract any new investors, though, was the reason he resigned back in February. Saints chief executive Jim Hone and PLC chairman Ken Dulieu have been leading the search for new investors since then. If Allen was successful in acquiring Saints, he would join the ranks of ultra-wealthy American businessmen snapping up English football clubs. Manchester United are owned by Malcolm Glazer, George Gillett and Tom Hicks completed their takeover at Liverpool earlier this year, and Randy Lerner took over Aston Villa last year. In addition, Stan Kroenke has bought a large shareholding at Arsenal. It is reported that any bid from Allen is likely to be at a significant premium to last night's Southampton Leisure Holdings PLC closing price of 47p. The shares have risen 20% in recent weeks. There is speculation that an Allen bid could be worth around £50m. Analysts suggest it may be worth as much as 65p a share to shareholders. -
Game ruined for me by that Marwood who cannot talking s**** about United. Even when Liverpool were ahead he went on and on about how good united were better team bulls***. He really is a prick.

And 99% of the sky viewers have just turned the telly off. Never has a team been so disliked my the public. Its only the media that love chelsea, the rest of us just cannot be bothered with them and their circus.

Come on rafa. Make changes. Get Riise and Kuyt off. Both are woeful.
-
Kuyt seems to spend more time on half way line than anywhere else. A vile 45 mins. God sake rafa get crouch on and take of a midfielder. The whole midfield is like a can of sardines, no room anywhere. We dont need 2 holding midfielders, we need attackers.

I have applied for the England group follow the team x 2 But when you see how small all the stadiums are there is almost no chance. How can they have stadiums of 30k as the norm. Morons. there must be 30 stadiums of 30k of more in UK. Thought they would have learnt after world cup joke stadium sizes. But I hope they do the fan zone things as they were fab esp in frankfurt by the river. Will take my boy over esp as he was to young for world cup

England face defensive crisis before crucial qualifying tie
Greenoak replied to Tosh 's topic in General Football Discussion
I would have Wayne Bridge as left back. But he is a left back and we all know Stupid Mac does not like playing players in the correct positions so he will put useless Neville in as left back. I would hate England to qulaify and go to Euro 2008 with this idiot in charge.
