This sky commentary is vomit inducing. You would think arsenal invented football the way they are gushing about them.

Hopefully it will give us some time for our key players to get fit. Maybe the baying dogs in the press will find someone else to pick on. Rafa is doing difficult job in impossible circumstances and does not deserve the disrespect he has been shown by the media and some of our own fans. We don't have enough top players but today everyone stepped up and did us proud. If we can get and keep gerrard and torres fit, get masherano's head back, our lesser recognised players keep their confidence and acquilani is half as good as rafa believes he is we have a chance of doing something this season! Is a lot of ifs but mostly tonite I am delighting in raga and the team sticking it to the @rseholes in the media.

knives definitely being sharpened on radio 5 and talk sport tonight. Has rafa being murdering journalists kids or something- i really don't get what he done to deserve the disgusting inuendo and abuse that supposed sports experts are giving him. he is doing a diffifcult job under difficult circumstances. he is not perfect but then nor is any other top flight manager. he has had to wheel and deal - would anyone honestly suggest that if he could have got turner her would have chosn kyriakos or that he would have chose Voronin to come back over Silva? he is damned whatever he does. i love Rafa and belive in him but am afraid the media will not be happy till he has been forced out.

I was in the club shop in Liverpool One today and they had t shirts celebrating out 6-1 victory over Hull - that is so small club esque - i'd expect it from the Bluesh*te but not us. Do the club shop issue a new t shirt after every positive result?

will the suspension kick in in time for our game?

Feckin welsh judas scored in tenth minute of added time

Much more positive attacking play especially Torres. We looked good and sharp. However still nervy at the back. The penalty would not have been given by some refs or against some teams terry & vidic get way with that all the time! Carragher is not at his best and is nowhere near as untouchable as a few years ago. 3 more points - keep going players come back into form/fitness and stay with the pace.
-
Feckinitv commentators can't wait to put boot in. Ok we wernt amazing but we got 3 points. Didn't see utd being world beaters last nite. Win that counts. Sometimes I think I'm paranoid rest of time I reckon I'm right and scumbag commentators all hate us.

I hope given the new crackdown Rooney will accept his 2 game ban gracefully for that outrageous piece of simulation for england vs Slovenia to cheat his way to that penalty

whatever happened to Livertweet?

i've lost the will to live with it all. i was quite upbeat at the end of the season that we would strengthen and push on next year. Instead all the sh*t stirring journalists have us selling our best players and being on the verge of bankruptcy. Football "news" is like an addiction - i know it is bad for me but i can't help reading it and then i feel dirty and miserable at all the petty comments and twisted insinuations. Is there an answer? - apart from total news black out till the window shuts? or would that be worse?

Half my neighbours have Everton banners and posters in windows - i hope they lose being horribly outclassed. I work with lots of Blues and they have been smug b@stards all week.

we are damned if we do and damned if we dont - if Rafa or a player say we believe we can win the league despite being points behind the media make out they are delusional or undignified etc. if they say it will be tough whatever opponent is a good team etc they are labelled defeatist. can't win - Rafa's "rant" while most journalists admitted he had a point was used to make out he was cracking up and he was slated by some of our fans. the pre Arsenal-Man Utd CL game build up was ultra defeatist by Arsenal fans, club and commentators you'd have thought they were 5-0 down from the first leg the way they were talking about it. The lacked belief and spirit and it showed. Contrast that with our approach over latter part of season and our belief and determination has made me proud. The fact that we are gutted to have lost out on the league at the 2nd to last gae shows how far we ahve come and builds solid platform for next year. If we approach next season like we have for last few months (Boro & Arsenal defensive perfomance aside) we will be serious contenders.

i saw Xabi in Calderstones Park on Saturday - he was on hs own and wandering round on his phone. His car is quite old too! i was too shy to say anything to him but told my 3 year old niece how wonderful he is! She was oblivious!
-
he is just brilliant

Oh goody, its International ball this weekend

looks cheap and nasty! -
this is great news - now club can get on with the business of winning games. the media must be gutted - what will have a go at us about now? With a five year contract Rafa isn't going to get sacked if we don't win the league - Mourinho must be crying into his wine!
-
Rafa repeated the bit about other teams seeing that Utd can be beaten too - bit of a theme developing! United have not been playing that well but other teams don't seem to believe they can beat them - a myth perpetuated by the sycophantic media with their constant drivel about how United are the best team in the history of football on this or any other planet! You never know somebody else might actually have the bad manners to beat them too over the next few weeks.......
-
thought it was a decent if unspectacular performance. we desperately needed a win - any win and we got it! Some ok performances especially from Ngog who showed why Rafa went after him. He is young and very raw but showed potential - and hopefully gave Babel something to think about in terms of work rate and attitude. Yossi played well, Riera played better than he has done recently, Mascherano put in a good shift at right back - and we didn't concede a goal. We were never going to suddenly magic ourselves into playing like Brazil but hopfully this will give us some confidence to try and buld some momentum in the league. The league isn't gone till it is mathematically impossible and finishing above Chelsea would be no mean feat in itself. You could see after the second goal that confidence was coming back and the difference that makes. Showed character to keep plugging away despite the down beat attitude of the crowd. Shame on those who booed Lucas and were more interested in shouting abuse at the players than supporting the team. ok we aren't doing as well as would have liked and some of the team aren't good enough for the level we want to be at but booing is the behaviour of small time muppets and has no place amongst Liverpool fans.
-
I'd love to know what is going through the mind of a supposed liverpool fan who thinks booing one of our own players is a good idea? Is it meant to encourage them to play better???? Or is it just the final nail in the coffin of our reputation as "most knowlegeable fans" in the game? If you don't like the player/substitution don't clap but booing is the most stupid & moronic thing to do. Idiots should be ashamed of themselves.
-
It is infuriating because the rubbish that they peddle as part of their so-called analysis quickly becomes fact in the minds of so many football fans I wouldn't claim we are playing particularly well but the bias is amazing. If we win it is despite of Rafa or he has got lucky, if we lose it is his fault. In the world according to Sky Fergie has never made a mistake in the transfer market or managed a team which has failed to win a game. While Rafa is cracking up, has never bought a decent player despite having spent more money than anyone else in the history of world football and shold be sacked immediately and replaced with someone who maybe knows a fraction of the combined football genius of Andy Gray & Jamie Redknapp. I don't expect them to favour us but a bit of balance shouldn't be too much to ask.

think he is injured
