is just really frustrating how long Hodgson was given to destroy this season! If we'd got rid when Fenway came in and appointed Kenny as a caretaker we could have been comfortably in the top 4.

Paul Merson was a knob. said we should be concerned that Fenway would rather spend money on their baseball team and seemed to base that on them not spending any money during the last transfer window!!! Carragher told hi m that they didn't own us then but that didn't seem to make a difference. not sure why Carragher was there tbh. was good to have some people speaking up for us (Thommo was good too) but just felt wrong having him there legitimising Merson and his stupidity!

would much rather bring back Insua as cheap option at least he has potential to improve if we can't spend money on better quality player to gel straight away.

It was an irresponsible tackle from Gerrard given the ground & the ref. Webb was always going to send him off which makes our attempt to recover this game even harder and leaves us without him for 3 more games incl the Derby. Our play has been positive which is the frustrating thing, if agent webb hadnt contrived to give them 2 huge decisions it would have been big step forward

Anyone heard a rumour that Rafa was at anfield and watched the game in the depths of the main stand? Bit of a heard it from someone's friend of a friend of a friend who knows nothing about footie but they were adamant! Would be surprised it had not been mentioned by the press if true???

it is like there is a conspiracy in the media to excuse his abject performance and keep him in a job as long as possible. Ancelotti & Houllier are getting loads of stick but Uncle Roy is misunderstood and just needs time to turn us into a relegation fodder team......

he really needs to be stopped from speaking to the media or anyone else. He is sucking the joy out of watching football, his monotonous voice and excuses for mediocrity are shocking. sack him now - i doubt there are many people who could do worse than he is doing (Fat Sam & O'Neill apart) we look like our players have given up anyway and want to be elsewhere so what do we have to lose by getting rid?

they are human beings with all the failings that infers. just because they have great skill at football and have played big part in some amazing times for Liverpool does not make them infallible or mean they are not subject to the same emotional failings of normal people - stupidity, envy, jealousy, pride, self interest etc i dont know anyone who always love their job or constantly respects their manager. i'm sure it is no different for players, if anything it must be worse as they are told from a youong age that they are special and their talent means they can get any with most things, thousands of people sing their names. Believeing that any distant figure is acting selflessly and for the good of the club without having any proper knowledge of what is going on is a slippery slope to being very disapointed. I'd include all the main figures at the club in that from players, Rafa, Hodgson and Dalglish. All you can do is look at their documented actions/ lack of action and infer from that. Ultimately most people do what is best for them/ their friends. Dalglish being linked with Rooney's dodgy agent being a case in point. I'd like to think Rafa had a proper connection with us and he was genuinely trying to fight for the fans and the future of the club becasue he believed in us and not because he likes picking fights with the club hierarchy. i'd also like to think Dalglish wasn't complicit in Rafa's sacking or that Gerrard & Carragher weren't partly responsible for us ending up with the most mediocre manager of LFC ever. People are stupid and often don't act rationally which is why players don't run clubs and there are supposed to be professional Boards of Directors to ensure correct running. we need a stable board, a strong CEO with football experience, a strong manager with full support of the board ( not Hodgson) and then everyone needs to be told (fans and players) this is the plan, we are all working on it, if you dont like it, you can f*** off.

no chance! i live in Waterloo and my car is under 6 inches of snow - it isn't moving anywhere! was in town last night and there were no buses, trains or taxis. unless there is a huge effort going on to clear roads and get transport moving it would be lunacy to play the game.

but why did it need to be a team of reserves? surely it is better to blood kids round some more senior players. we are out of the Carling cup and aren't playing again till Monday why rest 10 players? This could have been an opportunity to build some confidence and blood some players instead we've crawled into the next round with a game to spare but it was so painful. We may need to win this competition to get into Europe next year if Roy and our lowered expectations are anything to go by. Hodgson is sucking all the pleasure out of watching us - why does he get away with it?
