  1. For all-round influence Gerrard is up there with the best, certainly beats Frankie in that regard. The best players at the minute, the likes of Sheva, Ronaldinho, Messi etc.. are completely different players. Hard to compare. If I was asked to choose between a team of Gerrard's and a team of Ronaldinho's, I'd take Gerrard everytime. Fantasy stuff, I know.

The mother of all 'milkman's counsin's sister's mother-in law told me so'.

    Momo

He's ideally suited to the Premiership, more so than La Liga as he can be a tad wasteful in possession. I always feel a lot more confident with him starting. No one gets it easy off Momo

    I'd keep him before Morientes.

    Cole

I'd have him before the world class Lampard. In fact, I'd have Jimmy 'the german' Bullard before him.

    Cole

He has a long pear-shaped head. Don't like him.
  10. Henry's got much more of an overall influence on a game, even if he isn't scoring and he's fairly prolific. Shevchanko needs goals and he'd not have nearly as many assists, I'd imagine.
  11. Big game this week, they're a decent side and it'll be a real test as to our strength as a defensive and attacking unit. Fowler must start.

    Sissoko

Not a good comaprison, as Arsenal then and Arsenal a few weeks later were a completely different side and I don't mean personnel.
  13. 'Ploddy', not heard that used before. I think his ability to stay calm far outweighs any propensity to be casual. Best right back in the league for me. Wasn't it Tigana that suggested he was the most technicaly efficientl right back he's seen. Ever.
  14. I hate the bugger, but by Christ he can definitely influence the game. Goals and pace. I wouldn't be too displeased to be honest, but would hope we didn't sign him.
  15. Was asked when we bought him, who could he be likened to. The first name that sprung to mind was Denis Irwin, but I think he's a better all-round player than Irwin. Will never get the goals Dinny got though. Loved the way he doubled up on Faye and won a corner out of nothing.
  16. how effing good is Stevie Finnan? Not his greatest game yesterday but solid as hell. Added a bit of bite to his game and his distribution is still excellent. Thanks.
  17. Talking about keeping the Baggies in the premiership, if only for the tikka in the Vines?
  18. I'm just happy the team is working hard and we only look to the next game. We control the game and there are always possibilities to score more goals.
  19. Aye, not a patch on the mighty blues though.
  20. I can but only imagine, Matty
  21. They were s**** at Anfield and a lot of other grounds in the middle part of the season.
  22. So pathetically weak and mediocre not so long ago to this powerful unit that defends well and are excellent on the attack also.
  23. I think Juvé will do Arsenal at home, despite being pitiful last night. They'll be hammered for a while in the press and they'll be after a result.
  24. Never been so infuriated by one player in all my time watching and playing football. He's 6 and a half foot and he's a big f***ing ponce. Crying and rolling all over the place. In fairness, he's not alone, the game's in the schits. If something isn't done soon it'll be too late. Sickening.
