  2. Give it to Wor Jack, at least he has form in turning good players into yard dog footballers. Sven's done half the job forhim.

  4. I think I'll book Frankfurt today. Fairly central so not much more than 2 and a half hours by train to basically anywhere else.
  5. Who the f*** are you?
  6. I agree, I was simply using last week as an example. Reina raised his hand, but there's no excuse for Robben's dramatics.
  7. They'll have it won on this though.
  8. Regi!
  9. Not as though they don't have the mpney to fix it. Sure, why would they?
  10. On form, it's got to be Terry and Carra. Both real defenders, but they like to stay tight as opposed to filling spaces. Quite similar and whilst neither are sluggish, they're certainly not jet-heeled. I'd still have that pair in fron of any other combo if it were me. We've got Dickie Dunne and Gery breen.

  16. That's the frightening part, we actually 'need' Fowler just now. Nando don't half give the ball away cheap. Cissé is a random fast bloke, slightly better. Crouchy has his strong points but all his good stuff is outside the box.
  17. More recently, Rooney v Bolton a couple of years ago with Everton.

  23. If you try to set aside your Liverpool bias on this, it's not such a thrilling move. But it's quite hard to ignore the romanticism of this move and if he gets any kind of sharpness back he'll get goals in this side. The ONLY downside of this whole thing is the possible circus that will follow him around. If he hasn't scored after 2 games he's washed up and Rafa's a goon. If he does well it's all about Robbie Fowler. I'm happy about it tbh.

  25. Despite my initial reluctance to believe this story, I know that if we give this guy chances he will convert. Ged's side, the one Robbie left wasn't geared towards creating decent chances for our centre forwards, he constantly went deep to get involved with link-up play. As we are now, he'll thrive. Sometimes a signing transcends what they can do, with regard to pace, power, fitness, sharpness etc.., this guy is a Liverpool player, a legend, so to speak. this is the most 'romantic' signing I've ever witnessed and I'm coming round to seeing its merits as a good signing on a purely footballing basis. Welcome back Robbie Fowler.
