  1. I too would settle for 14, only if the 2 draws were to Brum and Wigan.

    Simao

Throw in the team bus too?
  3. That's it, each to their own.
  4. Ok, you don't like it. Thanks for the input anyway.
  5. Indeed Kev, it's easy to be critical but if you look at the detail that went into this thing, it's amazing. I work in the graphic arts industry and any of the professionals in our place that have seen it are astounded at it's detail. For someone to call it 'photoshoppy' is a bit rich.
  6. There was/is a Rushmore image. I think there'll be a site set up soon to host all these images that'll give you an opportunity to purchase posters, mousemats, fridge magnets etc.. for these images.
  7. I've mocked up a 10' x 6' image of this to the lads at RAWK and it looks good. As stated the background colour will change and it will help, but I think it's a bold image. I know we're a traditionalist club at heart but this isn't a threat to this surely?

  9. Never mind why Brian Kerr was sacked, why the hell was Mick McCarthy sacked? Oh yes, Roy Fukhing Keane. If the FAI really thought Staunton was their man, then let him do it. Putting Robson in with him is a cowardly show of insecurity. I really do despair with the FAI, they make the GAA look like a superior form of being. Idiots, no stadium, money not getting to grass roots, idiot ticketing etc etc. Stinks.

  12. Christ Almighty. That's all I've to say on the matter.
  13. I think the slower type of game suits Crouch, the other night he looked like he was seriously out-muscled.
  14. Sarcasm? As it so clearly was not easy.

    Small Time

Strange how that competition is seen by the different entrants. We saw it a s a distraction, whereas that was probably their biggest game of the season.
  16. He should be applauded like any other great servent that comes back to Anfield.
  17. I see what you've done there, John. Sarcasm, wow.
  18. No, you're right I don't, but feel free if you feel like it.
  19. I'm not about to argue that one.
  20. Good man, Sammy, I rest my case. Who was Porto's manager back then? Posts merged: And they're not exactly top of the pile now, are they?
  21. My point being that the ONLY way they can sustain it is that their financial muscle in the market is upheld and not anything they're building on the pitch, unlike one or two I could mention.
  22. Chelsea and Arsenal are at differeing ends of a very long spectrum, one extreme to the other, so st speak. And what UTD did, domestically anyway, has to be commended. In this day and age it's becoming harder and harder to stay afloat, never mind dominate. Just to re-iterate my point. Chelsea are a fantastically powerful unit. They are the best side in this country but lack the overall intelligence, both on and off the pitch to stay ahead of the rest for a sustained period, as we have done, and Utd more recently.
  23. Indeed, but I see that as a variation of the way we played. I simply don't see how this is going to evolve. Can they stay on top by brut force? I sincerely hope not.
  24. My intention is not to question their superiority at this time, which would be a nonsense. In restricted, I meant he won't buy a certain type as he sees them as a luxury. Look at Damien Duff and Robben's game since they've 'adapted' to their new roles. Nothing about their brand of football and their off-pitch behaviour leads ME to believe they can be successful at the top for very long. THAT is the crux of my argument. Give me UTD in their heyday over this current set of 'world class' players Chelsea have.
  25. In your opinion, that is, John. Where do they begin to build on this type of game? They're restricted to buying types of players as opposed to genius. How, for example, would they fit 2 strikers in their make-up. The evidence we've seen thus far, is that when they're struggling they put a centre back up front and continuously lob balls at him until they get joy from a second ball or a set piece.
