  1. That's the phrase I was looking for, Mechanical.
  2. They won't win the CL with that type of football. We can vary it (Juvé at home) they simply cannot.
  3. The issue in hand is Chelsea, that is why it's in this forum. We've done Liverpool a few times in the LFC forum. Drawing comparisons wasn't the intention. The table never lies yadda yadda...
  4. True, you've said enough, Ken.
  5. You have a different view, but you've yet to qualify it properly, if at all.

  7. I already know that, I don't need your confirmation
  8. Very infrequent. Where else is there?
  9. Check TPF
  10. Shameless 'top of boarding' at the minute
  11. Not having that, mate, not for one second have I suggested they're a bad side, their points tally last year underlines this, but the point I made last week was some of the blame must lie with the rest of the Premiership and also credit to Chelsea's ability to out-muscle the rest. They're simply stronger than everyone else. I know your name as it's your own name you use on 'another' forum.
  12. That's rubbish, Ken. 'You get what you deserve' - pisspoor argument.
  13. And drew nil all three times and beaten them one nil. Did you see the 4-1 game? Did you feel it was a 4-1 type of game, Everton bias aside?
  14. The point being, they do little else but 'grind out' results. This type of football will take them so far.
  15. They've scored 9 of 35 goals in the second half this season. Is this not a damning statistic of strength over guile? Even today, did they ever look commanding v Wigan?

  17. 'Kinda' collared the accent??
  18. You living in Castleknock now Vic? Very posh.
  19. Fair enough mate, but my point from as far back as last year is that they're not as good as most of the sides that have dominated our domestic scene of late. I put their points haul last year down to a weak-ish premiership and their ability to out-physical the best and the worst the league has to offer. You can't really defend 3 things in modern football - speed, muscle and genius. They've got the muscle in abundance.
  20. They are a fantastic side, Cobs, but more to do with a solid work ethic than any individual genius, yet one or two of these lads are proclaimed by all and sundry as 'the best in World/Europe'. JoséMourinho is the best man-manager bar none I have ever come across. I think myth is greater than their ability, but certainly, they're a fantastic side.
  21. Very difficult to concentrate as we did against them for a full 90 minutes. You have to be willing to slug out a 0-0 draw or you'll be beaten. Very few sides can do this.
  22. Been thinking that for a long time, it seems his creativity has been stifled somewhat. Always seems to pick the easy option, which is a good trait for a left back, but for someone like him to be afraid to take responsibility speaks volumes for the manager.
  23. Not exactly in same league as Cryuff or Maradona tho'
  24. A real central midfielder, does both, breaks things up and gets on the end of moves with good runs. Was talking to Graham Kavanagh since Saturday and he said he's never seen anything like the running power of Steven Gerrard last weekend. A monster is the way he described him. As good without the ball as he is with it.
  25. He was schite, Mike, as he normally is in a game such as this. Sometimes I get the impression the only thing justifying his huge reputation is his fantastic finishing rate for a midfielder. He takes up some wonderful forward positions, but he's central midfielder. In my day we called that cheating.
