Since it looks like there's not a bundle to spend, I hope Rodgers can get him motivated. He's quality so long as he wants to play.

Our possesion football will need players that can break defences down even more than ever. We struggled last year, so we need more like Aqua, not less, so long as they're motivated.

see whatever he is he isn't supremely s***, if supremely is an adjective that should ever be used with s***

He is. He's had a handful of decent games over the past few years and no manager be it Roy, Rafa, Kenny or otherwise actually sees anything in him worth keeping.

If Rodgers wants to use him, fair play, give him another chance. But he's hanging around like a bad smell. He's just not good enough IMO.

Rafa didn't get a chance Roy was a c*** and I still don't know how someone manages to be supreme at being s***. I also don't know you'ver seen enough of his games to comment on whether he's been decent in a handful.

Two managers didn't want him. Hard to motivate yourself in those circumstances.

only 2?

Perhaps if he showed some mettle, some determination to prove someone wrong, to show his amazing talents, to make people want to keep him?

Very talented player with questionable mentality on big wages. If we get any offer of £5m upwards I'm sure we'll take it.

If we don't get a reasonable offer then he's a good option to have in the squad, although for the wages he's reportedly on he should be impressing big time and getting in the first team.

If he really wants to make an impression here I believe he has the ability to do it but it's more likely he would prefer to return to Italy.

Yep. Third best midfielder on our books.

and we used to have the best midfield in the world not so long ago mad.gif

of course the problem is that he isn't suited to our league, unlike Spearing and Adam, who are both just ace

I've only ever seen him play live once, but in that one performance he did enough for me to leave the ground KNOWING that he was a very good player.

Whatever the circumstances around his none performance are in a red shirt, they are not because he is s***. This in itself is not a reason to keep him but it is a reason to dismiss out of hand mindless opinions like the above (that Swan replied to).

is that because you have questions about Aquilani's mentality in England or because you think Adam is a better player?

Yes its mainly a question of mentality, although I don't think Aquilani's ability is as spectacular as is often made out on here.
