Good trip that. Their away end is supposed to be top notch.

Very tough draw though.

Could be on telly too although the Mancs are away to Leeds so that'll defo be on.

Brighton have a spiffy new ground, don't they?

Yeah they do. Which in this instance is an extra benefit because the Withdean (where they were) was a f***ing dump.

Apologies for being massively dense, but what will be the ticket situ for this? Assuming we get allocated about 2-3K? Will there be any on general sale or what?

Used to live in Brighton, and the new ground is f*cking stunning. As sh*te awful as the Withdean was, The AMEX is as good the other way. It's 22,500 capacity, and cost the thick end of £100m. Every imaginable thing in the ground is as good as it could be. Pitch is the same size as Wembley :-o

They are playing pretty possession pass-and-move football under Gus Poyet, and have bought about half a dozen new 1st team players this summer all of whom are good. Sound familiar?

The ground is terrific. Apart from the fact that the corners are empty, which looks a bit odd, but they are planning on filling those in, when demand and circumstances are right (promotion to Prem?!!).

The problem is that they have a game on the Friday evening (Leeds Utd, Booooooo!!!), which won't be moved because the weekend is the University open day (The Amex stadium is right next to the Uni, and they share car parks). So we have Spurs on the Sunday. Someone's going to be playing two games in three days and I have a feeling it'll be us.

Try the pies in the stadium, they're expensive but very very good indeed. From Piglets Pantry in Brighton. I recommend the Steak and Ale!

Both our games are away and fecking miles away, while their's are both at home. Under such circumstances, they should be the ones play 2 games in 3 days.

Apparently its on the Wednesday.

I do knock about on a Brighton website (there's only one main forum to be honest, and erm, I'm a season ticket holder!!) and they are spitting their dummies out - they play Leeds on the Friday.

"Gus will be fielding reserves now, I don't think I'll bother going" x 200.

Yeah, right.

Spare a thought for me in the Brighton end suppressing my delight at a Suarez hat trick.

Its Wednesday, there's gnashing and wailing going on down here.

Its also going to be on Sky. The Man Utd - Leeds game is on the Tuesday, ours is on the Wednesday.

I imagine you're in a similar position to me in that, if we were to lose that game, it'd probably be worth moving out of Brighton completely.

So with that in mind I'm all in favour of this being as close to their game against Leeds as possible.

I'll be in the Brighton end in my normal ST seat, sat next to the Missus (longtime Brighton supporter), so its going to kick off either way. And that's just in our house when we get back.
