Some MP at the memorial said he should get it. Don't think it was anything more than his own opinion.

 

Was a lovely moment though. Crowd started chanting and he looked really touched.

thats what it will be then. both the texters were at the memorial service, and both said it was announced he was getting knighted!

I thought he looked awkward and a touch annoyed when it was mentioned. As if he wanted all the attention on the anniversary and not him.

 

Edit: Top man Rafa there in the crowd, choking back tears too.

That and the Rafa moment there have been really touching.

He should've got it in 1990 after the way he conducted himself with dignity, leadership & class in leading the club through the most difficult 5 years in it's history.

just finished watching the memorial.....so many tears while watching, wonderful service.....seeing rafa crying was a touching moment, a man who did so much for the cause behind the scenes, lets hope our fans never forget that

yes i know that there was one to be held today and i always follow it every year since i witnessed the events on telly all the way back here in KL...

 

Haven't seen any pics nor any articles yet so i thought it was off limits to the press or limited access for the press

 

ahhh f**k...just bloody realised it's morning in Liverpool now...it's closed to midnight here ...

 

no wonder no articles or coverage yet!!!!
