My thoughts on the forum.

So we've been kinda lax with regards to moderating this forum and I expect this to change. It's been a difficult time for us as fans over the last 3 years or so, emotions have ran high and stuff's been said in the heat of the moment that probably shouldn't have been. Consider this a new start for the forum as well if you like but one of the reasons this site and forum was established was to have somewhere we could discuss things reasonably and respectfully. I would like this to happen and I would expect moderation of this forum to attempt to facilitate this.

Some people have been warned and had warning levels increased for calling Hodgson a **nt or whatever I'm prepared to ask the moderator to review these if you have an issue PM me and I'll look into it.

If you persist with calling other forum members, using the same terms, expect warnings for stuff that's been overlooked previously.

Anyone being disrespectful to the current manager will be banned if I see it. This is not to say he shouldn't be questioned or criticised but outright disrespect for Kenny Dalglish has no place on this or any other Liverpool FC forum.

We're here because we love the club in the main and while I'm not sure I subscribe to the idea we are some homogenous mass following the Liverpool way I'd like this to be a decent place to hang out and talk football.

A couple of thoughts on the club

While this is, in my opinion, the correct decision I can only hope that itn has been made for the right reasons. It's possible in certain circumstances for the same decision to be either excellent or terrible depending upon the reasoning behind it. I'm hoping that the decision to replace Hodgson with Dalglish was predicated on an understanding that one was far better placed to take the club forward, coupled with an understanding why rather than just as a measure to placate us. a football club exists for the fans but the decision makers need to have some kind of strategic vision rather than just bending our will.

We are Liverpool football club and I am immensely proud of that, I'm immensely proud of the fact that when I was growing up, when the city was under attack from the Government, when it's manufacturing base was being annihilated when unemployment rocketed and drug use increased massively we had 11 players wearing Liverpool shirts that went out each week and showed the world how to play football, I loved the fact we went out and said f*** you to everyone that would put us down with the same amount of feeling we've been directing at our own owners and our last manager.

So yeah I'm enjoying the idea of saying f*** you again to all that would put us down. Sky, Keys, Gray, Ferguson, Merson the LMA, Barclay, the press H&G f*** you.

Onward and upwards albeit slightly pissed

Well in Vic, I remember a conversation you and I had a few years back over pints. We spoke about Dalglish coming back and our unease at his name being possibly besmirched. Well, it's happened and in the current context I'm f***ing made up. You c***! Ban me :P

it's not about being allowed to I doubt anyones going to warn you for doing so but I'd rather you didn't. They didn't ask to be signed by the worst Liverpool manager in living memory and while I don't believe either of them are good enough I'm not sure that signing for Liverpool FC should ever be reason enough to call someone a C***

Was a tongue in cheek comment. No-one associated with LFC should ever been called a c***, unless they commit blasphemy against the club. Not for just being s****.

I called Roy a c*** out of frustration and got a subsequent ban a couple of months ago and my warn status raised.

Well said.

It's possible that Kenny might fancy PFK over Aurelio. He might go 442. He might even play Stevie G CM (think there is a good chance of this...) and there may be other decisions that Kenny makes that goes against what we in general believe not to be optimal. It would be a shame if after such a long time of justifiably having itchy trigger fingers, in the face of calamitous events at the club, that we didn't step back and consciously take a step outside the urge to find fault.

This is not the time for truth and reconciliation but the time for a sustained public show of unity in order to propel the us out of this horror period we've had. Today is the end of the storm and today is the golden sky.

Absolutely. It's just kiddy stuff and it's got really boring. Anyone who is part of a process to win matches for LFc is not a c*** whilst they remain with us.

You make it sound the slave-traders sold them behind their backs.

The rest is spot on. But can we also cut out the spoofing, persistently incorrect ITK nonense and abuse (followed by "I'm drunk" excuses) by people too?

I'm not sure what your point is, do you expect them to say no I'm not good enough?

I posted I'm slightly pissed at the end of the opening post is that a referral to me? How is the sellotape holder by the way?

Hence why we called RFH what we did ;) ;) ;)

But I wouldn't go to a job I knew was well above my capabilities. And, if tempted by the money, I'd be giving 100% (and keep my mum out of it!).

No, not you. There's nothing wrong with posting pissed - it's led to some great threads (keys on the roof for one). It's when people are just coming on and being abusive and then hiding behind it (when they probably haven't touched a drop).

I wasn't being entirely serious with the pissed posting comment, I thought the sellotape holder would have given you a clue.

I do think it's grossly unfair to criticise a player that signs for Liverpool for signing for Liverpool. They aren't the ones to judge whether they are good enough and I can't recall any instance of any player saying I didn't sign for XYZ FC because I'm not good enough that's the managers job.

Still AWOL by the way. I'm convinced it's buried in the garden.

Unless it's stray and some other owner has taken pity on it, feeding it rolls of tape every now and then.
