Liverpool striker Craig Lindfield has left Dean Court and returned to the Premier League leaders.

Signed by previous manager Kevin Bond, Lindfield failed to impress during his near 4 month stint on the South Coast, starting just one league game and making a total of five appearances for the Cherries.

The Daily Echo believe the signing of Lindfield cost the club around £20,000.

Has Antwi and Lindfields loan been cut short or ended naturally? Think both players may have to ply their trades in the old 3rd or 4th divisions, at least Antwi impreesed at that level.

Well nice to see everyone giving the young lads a bit of time to prove themselves.

In the case of Antwi, although he did well a few seasons ago at Accrington Stanley, despite a decent start at Hartlepool the following season, he faded, possibly finding his level in League 1. Haven't heard much of his time at Tranmere, this IMO only suggests that League 2 / 1 is Antwi's level.

Lindfield has failed to impress at Bournemouth with 1 goalin about 4/5 games. This may well be down to his face not fitting and not getting enough opportunities, it may also mean that again the lower leagues are his level.

Not every young player we buy / bring through the ranks will end up plying their trades with us or in the higher leagues. It's not writing off young players, just being realistic.

Hammill has returned to the club as well.

Don't think he's any worse than El Zhar, would like to see him get the same treatment.

Signed a new deal recently, didn't he? By recently, I mean in the last six months obviously...

Andy, if they cant make it at league one/two level, what chance have they got here with us?

I thought his return was agreed a bit ago?

That too. Probably only so he can be sold for a Peruvian centre back or something

I always think the most prized assets Rafa has left behind is his youth set-up. Let's not write anyone off like Darby before he even starts a couple times with first team like Insua did. Lets not judge them based on a stint at League 1,2. They are knocking the doors at the first team and their quality is astonishing.

When did Rafa leave?

I dont mean Rafa leaving. How should I say it? My poor English. Leave out the word 'behind' in the original post then.

I can see Hammill getting a few games before the end of the season. He could do the same job for us as El Zhar does, coming off the bech as an impact sub to try and make a difference. He might even be a better bet for that role, he's hugely talented, but hugely inconsistent. He'll probably be in the Champions League squad if Pennant goes as well.
