Anyway, I think we should focus on whatever positives we can take from this season and one very clear one is Torres. Only had 10 premiership starts this season and he already has 10 goals. Do you all remember the media frenzie about whether he was a 20 goal a season striker? Well he certainly looks it so far.

Why make these threads. Just asking for trouble.

Asking for trouble? Im not supersticious... now that's asking for trouble... but no, im trying to talk about the positives really. People mightn't think it but I think Liverpool are progressing.

Dunno about top scorer but he'll certainly overtake Kuyt's Liverpool total and probably by the end of Feb. Torres is on 16 Kuyt 21!!

He could've been top of the charts by now if he didn't have a finishing mare at Newcastle.

f***ing brilliant player. He scores a lot of different style goals and thats important. Bit like Robbie in that respect.

excellent to see that it isn't all doom and gloom. The league might be over for us but I still find myself looking forward to games and thinking what Torres will do to the opposition today. he is a frightening talent and possibly the best striker in the premiership at the moment. Rafa might frustrate people but He is in turn frustrated at the owners over not being able to sign more of the likes of Torres.

He still looks a bit slow in the head to me, especially when his touch is off like of late. Could be something to do with not having the players around him, but still. His brain seems to stop when he gets the ball on the edge of the box far too often for my liking.

you've said this a few times and its truly bizarre. i think you confuse his languid movement with slow thinking personally.

Here's one for you - how many of those ten golas from Torres have been away from home? Not many.

And what's out home league record like? Clue - it f***in' STINKS.

Dunno what this means - Torres has contributed a lot to us at home, yet our home form has gone down the pan regardless.

No, when he's having a slightly off game, he gets the ball on the edge of the box and if his patented spirit-past-the-defender move isn't on, he looks down at the ball at his feet until two or three other johnnies approach and relieve him of it. Seriously. It's not the McManaman Mexican stand-off, he just seems to stop.

He's great and brilliant and it's probably everyone else's fault for leaving it all up to him, but he does do it occasionally and it looks like he has a bit of a brain fart. He's not looking for movement around him, he's looking at the ball or at the defender's knees. It's weird.

I've noticed that too. He has some kind of malfunction or meltdown and kinda freezes, then loses the ball.

Noticed it most against Man City.

I agree that he's not playing that well at the moment, but still scoring which is good.

Interesting alright. The only thing I can think of is that we aren't playing as progressively when we are away and Torres just doesnt get the same quality of ball.
