thought he did ok first half with one excellent shot that just flew over, also tracked back well....basically a rafa-type workman like performance....but 2nd half we was very good, really did look to beat players with his pace, played a couple of decent crosses in....and actually looked like a winger, he was one of the few who seriously looked like making a difference......that 2nd half was probably the best 45mins we have seen from him since arriving....it was so easy for him to just knock the ball on and beat players with his pace....and i just dont get why our wingers havent done this more often(been instructed not to perhaps?!?!)...normally our wingers seem to always cut inside.

Hopefully there will be more to come....

I have said it before and I will say it a again, Babel is just a less speedy version of Cisse without the goalsscoring touch.

He saw a lot of the ball yesterday, got it started to run with it and nothing came off it 9 out of 10 times, he restricted our game more than he added to it, especially in the wide areas, he had a few good moments when he used to pace but all from starting in a central position on the break.

His touch is far betetr than Cisse's has ever been. He's stronger too. And he's not a lazy b*****d.

He made a couple of bad decisions which meant his attacks broke down, but thet'll improve with experience. He did look to be a threat though, and he could turn into a very good player.

Its weird, cause I actually find myself agreeing with a lot of the stuff you say, unlike most. But that son is load of sweaty b******s.

That is just absolute nonsense to be honest

He gets the ball and starts running with it, usually forward and straight into a defender, sometimes sideways looking for a shot but ends up doing a backwards pass.

I would take Cisse every day and I`m no Cisse fan at all.

You can keep saying it as often as you like. Doesn't make it any less wrong.

Kaizer you are quite an enigma. There are times when you are the minority but your arguments make alot of sense but there are other times when you are just on the other end of the spectrum.

We shall agree to disagree - give it a year and we should have this conversation again. I think he will turn out to be an excellent player.

I can see his potential as a striker, but at the moment he is very poor as a winger.

I think he was awful last night apart from two moments, constantly wasting the ball when he got it, but I knew some people would say he had a good game as well, just surprised its this many.

He seems to run into trouble when he gives an opinion, as opposed to listing out statistics.

He's no Henry yet but comparing him to Cisse is ridiculous. His control is much better than Cisse's was, he works a lot harder and he is more of a team player. He is already showing signs of improving since he joined us and I have high hopes he will become a great player.

I can't think of a less accurate comparison.

Babel's touch and balance on the ball are exceptional.

He's being completely wasted on the wing.

His first touch is erratic, sometimes good sometimes abysmal, just like Cisse.
