for awarding a goal in the situation which Phil Neville handled the ball today? Obviously he got sent off and we got awarded the pen. But you still have to score it, and if he had missed it is a massive injustice if you ask me

Bit pointless that

More likely than a goal being awarded considering the ball has been stopped illegally from crossing the line, the resulting Pen could be saved, ours was close to it yesterday, which is an injustice.

Well, going by the ability of the refs nowadays, they'll probably award a goal that was never going in.

Would agree that if we missed the pen yesterday it would've made that horrible t*** Neville a f***in' hero for that cheating save.

I think you should have a choice between:

(a) a goal but no sending off (but a yellow)

(b) a penalty and a sending off

Is it true Neville will only get a one match ban? As far as i'm concerned that's rewarding cheating and encouraging more to do it. It should be at least a 3 match ban. Funny how Neville has been commended for his act of professionalism (cheating) whereas Gerrard was legally brought down and is being called a diving cheat.

It was a straight red card which I'm pretty sure means a 3 match ban.

the rules are the rules and pneville did the professional thing.

everton still lost, but now they will miss their captain for 3 games

it was great save though, Jagielka would have been proud of it

They should award a penalty goal.

Whoever takes the shot is awarded the goal and the player who handled the ball is sent off.

easy with yesterday as an example, but what if the shot's from an angle - how do you determine for certain it's going in?

What if a dog runs onto the pitch & stops the ball?

You rape the dog to death

hasnt been a dog on the pitch in ages. its like something you never see anymore at football. like brass bands at half time. bring back dogs on the pitch and brass bands at half time

Brass bands have large solid healed shoes on

This causes pitch rutting and provides a leveller for the 3rd round of the FA cup.

Hawkeye system like they do with the tennis or for LBW's with circket? If the match has been stopped anyways you might as well check the trajectory.
