RafaShanks Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Shamefully lifted off another site: Jerzy Dudek John Arne Riise Jamie Carragher Sami Hyypia Josemi Harry Kewell Steven Gerrard Dietmar Hamann Steve Finnan Milan Baros Djibril Cisse Subs: Igor Biscan Stephane Henchoz Chris Kirkland Florent Sinama Pongolle Stephen Warnock Anyone know how many have been and gone since?
johngibo YPC Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Not a bad team really. The real difference is the subs. And the ones who can't even get on the bench nowShould have beat spurs that day as well
TheLa Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Finnan right wing, what's he thinking the stupid Spanish bastid? He's Houllier Mk II. Mark my words he'll win f*** all for us.
Frosty Jack Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 i wish josemi was still here. I want Nunez back
RafaShanks Posted August 13, 2007 Author Posted August 13, 2007 Finnan right wing, what's he thinking the stupid Spanish bastid? He's Houllier Mk II. Mark my words he'll win f*** all for us. Djibs was right wing and Finnan was up front.
urban Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 It is interesting to note that all the bench players have been shipped out. What's Hammann doing nowadays? Have not heard about him for a long while.Strange when you think that Morientes is talked about more in these boards more than Mr.Reliable.
_00_deathscar Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Hamann is at City, and started their opening game this season giving a solid performance.
Red Lecter Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 (edited) Hamann is at City, and started their opening game this season giving a solid performance. There was bound to be another manager out there that could properly utilise him. I know a Man City supporter and when he Didi signed for them, I said to him "Congratulations, this guy will be fantastic for you - proper legend". I met him again last season, and he reckons they'd been sold a dud. Hopefully the muppet will soon realise how good the Kaiser is. Edited August 14, 2007 by Sanj77
Florist Cinema Pond Goal Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Baros and Cisse, have we had 2 first team strikers any less suited to each other than these two?
Guest Portly Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Hopefully the muppet will soon realise how good the Kaiser is. Didi does smoke rather a lot! He was at Chester Races last year and spent most of the time wandering around smoking and chatting on his mobile phone. I am a dedicated smoker myself but I'm not paid megabucks as a professional athlete.
IgPig Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Doesn't seem to have done him too much harm, in terms of his athletic career.
Bald Devil Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Aye, Riise smokes as well. When you're being put through a Pako regime you can afford the odd Marlboro light. Hamann was boss on Saturday in his ususal role. It looked like he was the main reason why the new players gelled so well. He kept them ticking over with simpole passes.
Gunga Din Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 i thought didi was city's best player on saturday
Boca Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Aye, Riise smokes as well. I'm surprised at that. I thought I read somewhere that Riise was a fitness freak and an animal for training. Smoking doesn't seem to fit in with that.
Frosty Jack Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Doesn't seem to have done him too much harm, in terms of his athletic career. maybe there was more to the crumples than met the eye

I work with a city ST holder, and he said Didi was man of the match on Wednesday night. He was telling me they've bought a few youngsters who can do all the running leaving Didi free to patrol around the back four, break up the plan and setup the counter. I told him that was all he ever did for us apart from regularly scoring against his old team. D'oh
Rory Fitzgerald Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Before I clicked in I tried to remember and I guessed at Finnan for RM as I remembered Josemi got MOTM that day. Got the rest right aswell.
Walrus Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Kaizer: How many fags has Riise smoked since 2002? And how many of those were as a sub?
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 I'm surprised at that. I thought I read somewhere that Riise was a fitness freak and an animal for training. Smoking doesn't seem to fit in with that. it does fit in with his t***tishness though not that all smokers are t***s, but you know that particular type - the kid that no-one likes, who joins in with the smokers to try and look hard/cool
