Guest Si Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Hear Keys on SS1 then? Apparently "there is a possibility" that the game will be moved if the Mancs go through tonight? "more soon" he said.
stressederic Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I think it depends on whether or not the Greek police continue their threat to strike on the day of the Final.
Cobs Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 aren't Police in Athens threatening a day of strike action on the 23rd May ?
live Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 if the mancs do go through, realistically with the number of fans from both sides turning up (with and without tickets), i think NATO should be considered, doubt the greek police can handle the crowd.
Koller49 Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 It's a bit of a pisstake - in essence it could be a good idea as it could be carnage out there. Dunno how Keys has got this information or how reliable it is though. In my opinion if they did have any doubts they should of announced it when it was seen it was a possibility when they drew the Quarters and Semi's that we could play the Mancs - alot of people have already booked flights and accomdation today for Athens, which sometimes is either non-refundable, or you have to pay a cancellation fee, which is annoying to say the least. Saying that, I doubt they will change it at this late stage.
jon_hall Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Who'll be paying for the travel costs already incurred for fans who deffo qualify?
John am Rhein Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 if the mancs do go through, realistically with the number of fans from both sides turning up (with and without tickets), i think NATO should be considered, doubt the greek police can handle the crowd. Good idea. Hold the game in Baghdad.
John am Rhein Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Who'll be paying for the travel costs already incurred for fans who deffo qualify? Niall Quinn
Paul_LFC Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 IF it was to move, I doubt the FA would want it being played at Wembley, they have always wanted the FA Cup Final to be first main game at the new stadium. Maybe the Emirates?
Mike Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 IF it was to move, I doubt the FA would want it being played at Wembley, they have always wanted the FA Cup Final to be first main game at the new stadium. Maybe the Emirates? ...and when is the FA cup final?
