Morse Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Liverpool: Reina, Arbeloa, Carragher (Agger 73), Hyypia, Riise, Pennant, Alonso, Zenden (Gerrard 70), Gonzalez, Kuyt, Crouch (Bellamy 63).
Guest Red & Green Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Pennant was our best player by a country mileKuytArbeloa
Snookie Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 - Kuyt for the goals - Pennant for further evidence of a his ability to become a very good player - Arbeola for the effortless quality and consistency of his performance You can put them in any order to be honest. A special mention for Agger's Messi-like run and Gonzalez's contribution today. He's a terrible habit of playing with his head down and he doesn't appear to appreciate yet that it is a team game in which he needs to communicate with his team-mates. At times he looks like a child playing a man's game but he has obvious ability and does appear to have heart. How his confidence develops will determine how much of a contribution he can make.
Bo Benn Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 This one seems certain:Kuyt - Finally took his chancesArbeloa - Did not put a foot wrong, again... This guy is absolute ace. Best signing we did this season.Pennant - Ran the crap out of them
The_MC Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Only saw the second half, but Kuyt took it for me. Not just the goals, but he should have had 2 assists at least but for laclustre finishing from teammates. Great effort as always, great hold up play, and even showed some good touches .tv match report has Kuyt down as Captain too... surely that aint right, Carragher must have started with the armband?
fyds Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 PennantKuytArbeloa Big mention for Speedy and Dagger too.
Mr Makaveli Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 We might have only played Wigan here but make no mistake.. we were in total control of this game and that is soemthign we found difficult before... our team has confidence and discipline in bucket loads... we are well organised, not always attacking but we do certainly have what it takes to break these defensive teams down now. things are getting better for liverpool and Rafa is really getting what he wants from his players now... man of the match... Id have to give it to: KuytGonzPennant/arbeloa I'd like to add that Riise was terrible though... he really was only in it for himself today and stuck out like a sore thumb..
Benitez Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 (edited) Derek Kuyt Alvaro Arbeloa (he is fecin ace) Mark Gonzalez Edited April 22, 2007 by Benitez
kacangpool Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 (edited) Alvaro Arbeloa (he is fecin ace) I'm pleasantly surprised that he's managed to settle down so quickly in the PL. A real class act. Even Pennant and Bellamy needed some months to settle. Edited April 22, 2007 by kacangpool
uppsala Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Based on Match of the Day Highlights. Kuyt, 2 well deserved goals. Pennant, Another great game, ran wigan into the ground and an fantastic cross for Kuyts first goal. Alonso, he's just class isn't he!
