Mourinho in yet another rant

Jose Mourinho has taken a dig at Arsene Wenger's youth policy as well as suggesting Manchester United have benefited from 'undeserved' successes this year.

Speaking in the aftermath of Chelsea's Carling Cup final victory over Arsenal, Mourinho praised Wenger's young side but was quick to point out that they were yet to win anything.

"Arsenal have great boys," said Mourinho.

"But I wouldn't be sad if a club gives me three, four, five years and tells me, 'You don't need to win. You can lose Premiership after Premiership, and you have three, four, five seasons to build'. I wouldn't be sad.

"Since I arrived, they have won nothing. Since we are at Chelsea, they lost Premierships, they lost the Charity Shield to us, they lost the Carling Cup to us. I don't think they are winning a lot.

"Absolutely brilliant young boys, manager top, team with a great future. But they didn't win."

He also felt that title rivals Manchester United had benefited from some good fortune this year, and that Cristiano Ronaldo was a diver.

"This is a season in which United have had no injuries and every player is fine to play. They go to the Champions League and have a disallowed goal for the opponent [Lille] and their goal is 'that' goal.

"They go to Fulham and it looks like they deserve to lose and they win. They play at Tottenham, it's 0-0 and Cristiano dives, they get a penalty and win 4-0. It looks like everything is on their side, but that's football.

"I didn't see the Fulham game to be fair, but the information I have is that it was completely undeserved. It's a game they could have lost and in the end they win it."

Meanwhile, the FA Disciplinary Committee will hear both Chelsea and Arsenal's appeals against the red cards they received during the Carling Cup final today.

Chelsea have been very fortunate when it comes to injuries over the last few years, while we have struggled by missing Ruud for several months, Scholes missed the last half of the season last year and so on. We even lost Scholesy and Rooney for 4 matches this season, due to the FA being utter useless. He´s the manager at a club where he´s allowed to spend as much money as he wants, so he can get the players he wants, yet he´s complaining about injuries being the reason they have been off-form this season. He even offloaded two defenders prior to this season, christ, he offloaded Gallas so he could get Ashley Cole when they already had a very good lb.

the only thing he forgot was to say was that Arsenal's 'brilliant youngsters' are a product of spending millions on the youth team

everything else he said, esp the stuff about Utd has been said on here many times by a multitude of posters over the past number of months

This is the first season in 3 years we are actually lucky with injuries.

It´s not like we are the first team to win a match we didnt deserve to win.

So you agree with him then?

Haha.

I have no problems with admitting that Ronaldo has cheated, though to his defence, he has been getting better. I blame Portugals national team, sending him to them always makes him worse. I doubt we are the first team this season to win a penalty that shouldnt have been a penalty. Gerrard has probably sorted you out with some as well;)

Overall, we have been quite unlucky with injuries over the last years.

for once, I'll say good for him, for having a whing about Arsenal.

All the stuff about the 'young team', Arsenal Babies and all that s*** was so tedious. 3 of them where 'kids' that wheren't first team players. The others where either not 'kids', or in Fabregas' case, was a regular first teamer. When Arsenal played Spurs in the semi, the actual average age difference between the two teams wasn't that much. Yet you'd never believe it. And of those 'kids' Wenger paid £15 mill for 2 of 'em, that's Chelsea prices that is :D Bored to fecin tears about the glorifying of Arsenal getting to a League Cup final, wooo fecin hooo. Certain other managers would have got slated for playing reserve team players. If they don't win anything again this season, their fans will be getting even more pissed off.

he's a cvnt, anything he says always comes with an agenda.

he sickens me with his "look at what I have done" attitude. yes, you pillock, you have won things. only after buying almost every decent player you can buy and bitching about every perceived poor decision that goes against you.

I wish someone else had said the same about Arsenal but it's right. Not that giving your manager a few years to build another side is a bad thing, especially someone of Wenger's success, but amidst all the w***ing of Arsenal's "boys" they are still falling short of the league and haven't won their cup finals.

Talking about United winning games they should've lost and injuries is neither here nor there. Chelsea have made a habit of digging out away victories recently and Chelsea only have themselves to blame for not having enough defenders.

Pure b******s that is. which 2 have cost 15 million? one may end up costing a lot, if he becomes a regular for England, but it that happens, then by definition, it represents value for money. For now, however, he has cost Arsenal less than it cost Liverpool to re-sign Robbie Fowler, and pay his wages - which has represented better value?

There is so much hypocrisy doing the rounds on this subject at the moment - Poor Jose's rant that he is under more pressure - quelle f***ing surprise youre under more pressure, given the money you've spent! And Benitez isnt much better - his quotes prior to the Carling Cup QF saying that he would have loved the finances to buy Diaby, Denilson and Walcott - Well how much money did you spunk up the wall on Bellamy, Zenden, nunez,Morientez, Pennant???

I'm not a fan of Rafa talking about not having this or that but using Nunez and Zenden as examples of Benitez wasting money is really scraping the barrel.

Maybe not transfer fees, but Bosman sign-on's don't come cheap.

You will find its what most Champions do at some stage in the season.

Liverpool have always fallen short in that respect, and have to settle for "We were the better team in that game but were unlucky they scored a jammy deflection"

Spunked !! Hilarious

Bellamy (First-teamer) = 6m

Zenden (Squad-player) = Free

Nunez (Squad-player) = 2m (Part of Owen deal with Madrid)

Morientes = 3.5m (Originally 6.5 but sold to Valencia for 3m)

Pennant (First-teamer) = 6.5m (approx.)

That's Net Spunking of £18m on 5 players. Two have been sold on, 1 is an albeit average squad player but Pennant and Bellamy are both making valuable contributions to the team and squad-system this season and have bedded in ok.

All managers make bad buys (shall we talk about Stepanovs, Luzhny, Jeffers etc. ) but the best ones either get rid of them quickly and/or outweigh the bad buys with the good ones.

don't worry Number 5 kind of softened the blow in that respect.
