Guest Ant Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 He will be forever known as a Liverpool legend, his work rate is incredible, his ability is imense, his attitude is second to none. The guy is the type of player Rafa loves and what we love and I will stick my neck out and say that he will be the key to what ever we achieve this season.... Hope he continues and doesn't get injured
CarraLegend Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 He's brilliant and considering he's spent most of the season worried sick about his arl fella it shows his performances in an even better light.
Guz Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 He's brilliant. He would be amazing if he had a short burst of pace but he gets around that by his work rate and intelligent running.
Cooger Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 He is a an unauthadox number 10, but almost perfect for the Premiership. He has the power and workrate to cope with the league. He might not have the skill of a Bergkamp or Zola, but he doesn't really have a weakness. He is always willing to have the ball, acts as an extra midfielder when the team is defending. He also contributes even when he isn't scoring, with his assists. Very good signing and a very suitable player for Rafa's new crushing machine he is our Aimar, in the sense he links midfield and attack.
Guest Ant Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I really cannot put a finger on who he reminds me off...He is unique in every sense
toshi Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 he's good in keeping the ball too.... considering so little space he's got from the opposition.
Bootle Buck Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 he's good in keeping the ball too.... considering so little space he's got from the opposition. There was a move on the right in the 2nd half with him and Pennant we they kept the ball in such a tight space on the touchline.
CarraLegend Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 (edited) 8 goals in the Prem. A goal every 220mins in the Prem so far, first season in this League, he signed after pre season so didnt even have time in the Summer to get used to teammates, when he got here it was thought his dad was dying, he doesnt take penalties, so all in all he's done brilliantly. He's having a dual with the woodwork in the CL at the minute but the goals will soon flow in that (Its also his first ever time playing Champions League). He's top class. Then theres the countless goals he's either directly setting up or being involved in. Edited January 20, 2007 by CarraLegend
Maldini Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 The criticism (even though it's mostly been mild) he's taken from some people is ridiculous. He makes a substantial contribution to every game whether he scores or not. The moment where he came haring back to block Ballack's shot and then sprinted forward to join the attack summed him up.
Guest keygone Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I would bum him if he asked me. He does have one weakaness though; his left foot. Not very good. No doubt Rafa will have him work on that during the summer.
Mike Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 he's a very good player. sometimes his touch is not great which is strange cos at other times its brilliant. he should score more though and hopefully that will come.
RafaShanks Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I would bum him if he asked me. You groupie wh0re!!!
Cooger Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I would bum him if he asked me. You go for it - he's a very good player. sometimes his touch is not great which is strange cos at other times its brilliant. he should score more though and hopefully that will come. Not too many supporting strikers around who score more (if any).
Dan Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 You go for it - Not too many supporting strikers around who score more (if any). Absoultley haunting that picture of Dirk
stressederic Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 (edited) The little cushioned header for his goal today was beautiful, and the finish was so controlled just to side foot the volley past Cech. Edited January 20, 2007 by stressederic
psl Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 The little cushioned header for his goal today was beautiful, and the finish was so controlled just to side foot the volley past Cech. I don't know enough about football to know what a suchioned header is.
Paul_LFC Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I think 15 goals this season would be a good target for him to try for.
floyd Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 (edited) Nice to hear that tw4t Andy Gray still have a go at him. Had a pop at his finishing. also how shyte is Wampsy Lampsy. f*** me he's overrated Edited January 20, 2007 by floyd
Kopite_Colin Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I think 15 goals this season would be a good target for him to try for. I think we we get a real goalscoer to play up front with him, and a winger who can create and chip in with a few goals, we'll have a real shot at the title next season. But we need a true goalscorer to play alongside him.
stressederic Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I don't know enough about football to know what a suchioned header is. I've no idea what you're talking about
chiliking Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 He does have one weakaness though; his left foot. Not very good. No doubt Rafa will have him work on that during the summer. Well, it hasn't worked for Riise, has it? Kuyt will be supermassive, no doubt
