Theres a thread on here commenting on how far we are away from them in the acadamy/scouting department and I dont think any team will play the type of football Arsenal consistently play over the next 5 years so I think he has a point. However the pretty football probably wont win them the league anytime soon.

I'm a lot more concerned with keeping pace with Man U and Chelsea than I am Arsenal.

However, do arsenal have a youth academy? I thought they outsourced their academy to belgium and ivory coast?

Arsenal are not Liverpool FC

We are currently short of a left wing, full backline and another striker to play with kuyt.

 

Oh and the most important thing we lack is passion, because not one player besides Carra is trying out there anymore.

Style of football is the most utterly irrelevant thing. What matters is winning

What makes Chelsea so effective is that they can do whatever it takes, play whatever style, to get the result. They can compete physically with anyone, and when they need to, can move the ball around very well at pace and play brilliant football.

 

The issue many have with them is that they only do it when they need to, but you can't knock a side that 9/10 gets it spot on. arsenal under Wenger have always suffered from being stuck in one mode that will fail more often than Chelsea's pragmatic appproach, which shares alot with the great Liverpool sides and the Milan sides of 15-20 years ago.
