It seems all our players have MySpace pages, but some seem to have at least 2 different pages, particularly Garcia and Kewell. Which beggars the question, are any of them actually set up by the players themselves or are they set up by people masquerading as the players? I notice even Mr Media himself, Beckham, even has one. Or has he?

If they're not real then there's a lot of poor sods getting sucked in and thinking they are real. Stevie's gets about a million messages a day!

Also, find it funny how Stevie's status says 'In A Relationship' whereas Alex Currans's says 'Married. And their education is down for both as 'Post Grad' :bleh:

Some players do their own sites - in our case, Heggem, Babbel, Cisse and Smicer all wrote their own stuff - Heggem even designed and built his own site. Most are farmed out by agents to individuals or companies that do a 'generic' blog style effort, with little or no real content from the player. Given the rise in awareness of image rights and data protection, despite agents, clubs are looking at ways of either stopping this sort of thing, or bringing them into their own arena.

As you can expect, there is also potentially a huge amount of money to be made this way.

Was a fashionable thing to have last year, plenty of celebrity types have them, whether they are kept up by the actual person, partner, a mate or their PR is anyone's guess.

I'd be amazed if it was them. We had a dude put one up for our show, he was sending messages as if it was us and everything, apparently he had about 20 different profiles, acting as a load of Irish bands etc. Like I said there are some really strange f*****s out there.

I know some peoples are real, but they are mostly bands. John Frusciante from the Red Hot Chili Peppers has one and as does Jarvis Cocker and the guy who played the piano in Fame (Who now looks like Ron Jeremy  ). Billy Bragg has one too, he got into trouble by putting up some music and messing up his copyright or something, so some are real, but loades are fake.

Veggies website was wicked, dunno if its still up and running or not and I used to like Eric Meyers recipes, or was that Veggie too.

It was both! Erik put up his recipe for Kohl Raabi, Kerrie and other stuff, while Veggie was always going on about his latest fish dish and the best way of broiling a pork belly in white wine sauce with chives and rosemary :D

Both top guys
