BOLTON Wanderers have stalled in pursuit of Liverpool midfielder, Dietmar Hamann, after securing the services of Ivan Campo for the next two seasons.

 

The former Real Madrid ace signed a new contract yesterday, ending months of speculation over his future and rubbishing claims that he was set to return to Spain.

 

It is a move that could prompt Sam Allardyce to finally draw a line under the Hamann saga, knowing he can rely on Campo in the holding midfield role he plays so well.

Good news for us. I don't think Didi can handle a full match every week, his performances as a sub or occasional starter are good precisely because he's not used twice a week for 90 mins. Hope the story is true and Didi remains a Red.

Hamann past it. Thing is, that we're f***ed if Alonso gets injured, because Didi cannot replace him anymore. Sissoko and Gerrard can't play well together in my opinion. We need another cm to give cover to Xabi. I think this Zapater guy would be interesting signing.

 

I think, if Hamann doesn't go to Bolton as it seems, he'll go to Man City.
