anny road Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 http://www.boltoneveningnews.co.uk/wandere...hamann_move.php BOLTON Wanderers have stalled in pursuit of Liverpool midfielder, Dietmar Hamann, after securing the services of Ivan Campo for the next two seasons. The former Real Madrid ace signed a new contract yesterday, ending months of speculation over his future and rubbishing claims that he was set to return to Spain. It is a move that could prompt Sam Allardyce to finally draw a line under the Hamann saga, knowing he can rely on Campo in the holding midfield role he plays so well.
Ste M Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 (edited) An ageing Ivan Campo over an ageing Didi Hamann??? Excellent news for us if true by the way - welcome back Didi Edited July 1, 2006 by Ste M
hels smicer Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 i really want didi to stay also he needs to complete his medal collection hes one short of a full set
RafaShanks Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I hope this is true and never wanted Didi to leave. The man is a legend and can still do a job for us.
Guest Red Mist Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Good news for us. I don't think Didi can handle a full match every week, his performances as a sub or occasional starter are good precisely because he's not used twice a week for 90 mins. Hope the story is true and Didi remains a Red.

floyd Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Can imagine Momo and Xabi being happy for him to be around. We need someone to perfect the "crumble"
jimmylibel Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Can imagine Momo and Xabi being happy for him to be around. We need someone to perfect the "crumble" Xabi seems to have been working on that particular aspect, he may not be as the same level as der Kaiser yet but he's definitely been practicising.
Jonesy Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Can imagine Momo and Xabi being happy for him to be around. We need someone to perfect the "crumble" its crumple. crumble makes it sound like he's falling to bits!!
Tetti Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Good. He should stay and then join the coaching staff when he retires.

Guest Svennis Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 (edited) Hamann past it. Thing is, that we're f***ed if Alonso gets injured, because Didi cannot replace him anymore. Sissoko and Gerrard can't play well together in my opinion. We need another cm to give cover to Xabi. I think this Zapater guy would be interesting signing. I think, if Hamann doesn't go to Bolton as it seems, he'll go to Man City. Edited July 1, 2006 by Svennis
Nerik Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Well he may have other options and I still think he will probably leave. Would be great if he stayed though.
