I know I've said this before, but the difference between Gomez and all those you mention, is that they had some confidence in using their left. I've never seen a more one footed player, and aside from how someone gets to his age as a pro in that state, we're in danger of ruining him. Best case scenario is that he's just struggling a bit with the step up, in terms of an over reliance on his right to improve his confidence, and that as he settles maybe he'll trust himself more. Right now it's startling how much he'll put himself in a bad position, just to avoid using his left.
