We've done far better in that regard, under FSG, than any previous ownership.

FFP does look at that, but only because that's how football accounting works, not the other way around. Basically, no single transfer window can give you any true reflection of spending. The only time people within the game use gross/net spend is to spin something, our budgets will be set according to profit from sales, and other incomes, with the amortisation figures far more important than total fees. Possible contract extensions and sales make it impossible to predict otherwise. I'm not sure why you'd give more stock to LFC History.net than the clubs accounts to be honest.

Because that's not how football accounts work. One year's gross/net spend is irrelevant, it's all about book value, costs of transfers amortised over length of contracts. Selling low book value players like Suarez and Sterling for high fees, and buying young players on long contracts, helps balance the books. It's why I expect us to sell one of each of those type of players most years now, at least til the stand is built, or FSG cash in. Anyway, it's there in black and white in the club's accounts. Not sure why you'd pay any interest to headline fees on those other sites really, not for a true picture at least.
