If football was all about statistics, we would be better of watching cricket, baseball or American football. Teams can win with average players in their side it just means its harder for the other good players.

I've never seen such a lot of sensitive souls on one web site when it comes to football pundits. Some seem to expect that because a footballer once played for us he should fall over himself to heap praise as if he was sitting in the kop. They are paid to give their opinion on what they see and probably what they know from discussions with players the rest of us never get. Beglin, Redknapp etc are fans of the club as is Hansen, and if they criticise the performance or the managers tactics it doesn't make them any less of a fan or that there opinions are biased.
