  1. Rafa is being extremely naive if he believes he will be able to operate the transfer policy of the club without reference to its chief executive. That does not mean I support Parry, far from it but Shankly and later Paisley who were subject to the final decision of John Smith or Robinson. It is looking like Rafa cannot bear any part of the club not being under his total control. No club in Europe would give Rafa as much control as he has here. He should just get on with concentrating on winning the league this year, our best chance in years and leave all matters of his contract till the end of the season. As been reported by some posters Parry's contract is up this year and whilst Hicks may not be able to terminate Parry's contract without Gilletts agreement, conversely Gillett cannot renew it without Hicks agreement. So instead of waiting Rafa started washing the clubs dirty washing in public, something which is often repeated by many posters as not the Liverpool way.
  2. Believe the comments are correct and the timing perfect - puts Ferguson on the defensive - The media must ask Ferguson if he responds to Rafa if our managers FACTS are correct. Now up to players to ensure no FU tomorrow
  3. Sean Dundee - to show we can win the league with 10 men
  4. Alonso Agger Insua
  5. I agree there is only one God - Rafa
  6. For the sake of repeating myself because we are Liverpool FC the greatest club side in the world and only a mercenary or fool would turn us down
  7. my point was in relation to a comment that Agger wouldnt sign a new contract until after Rafa has signed his
  8. FFS we are Liverpool FC and bigger than any manager. Also maybe he might feel he would play every week with a different manager or does that logic pass you by
  9. Why is that - do you think their confidence could of been eroded by an overly controlling manager.
  10. Yeah right striker scores a superb goal also sets up a very good chance for Gerard - who's to say he may not of got a second. They were down to ten men and therefore Gerard could of easily moved into CM in place of Lucas and gone 4-4-2 with Keane and whoever as twin strikers with two wide mid to cut down runs of Arsenal full backs
  11. Oddly enough after Gerard I thought Rafa a good choice similarly when Souness took over Kenny. However time in each case has proven me wrong. I have no doubt that in Cup matches and especially in Europe Rafa definitely has the edge over MON however for me the Prem is the be all and their I think MON would be a better choice especially after what he has done with Villa and the resouces he has had. I thought like many we would be a long ball team under MON but at Villa they play a more expansive game with lots of width. Also I believe he a better motivator than Rafa (opinion only) and would be less defensive minded. Accept this is all suposition however there is no denying that MON has done a very good job with Villa and we still drawing too many games just like last season
  12. Classic little one liners that are generally meaninless. Only a fool would not be disappointed in drawing a game we could so easily of won and yes I believe Liverpool should of gone on to beat Arsenal after they lost Fabrigas and went down to 10 men obviously I have more faith in the team than you. Also Yes I am very disappointed we threw away a very promising position with silly home draws against Fulham West Ham Stoke and Hull
  13. try reading what I said not what you think I said. Regarding MON with the money Rafa had had in the past few years I would be confident he would win us the Prem = My opinion not fact but also don't believe if Rafa with us for another 5 years we will win the Prem under him unless he has a radical review of his domestic tactics.
  14. No - but no new contract either until end of season and then review
  15. Well argued point as usual. And yes after seeing his work at Villa I believe yes if backed the same as Rafa has been MON would win us the league but may not do as well in Europe
  16. Aggers contract should be the main current focus of the Board
  17. well with our current manager I don't think we will
  18. I had hopes we would beat an 11 man Arsenal but after the sending off and injury to Fabragas - yes I expected us to go on and win - Shock Horror
  19. how much of his wages are we still paying?
  20. FFS with the run of games we have just had and the situation from yesterday we have blown a good chance to put the pressure on Chelsea and United. Also we will only remain top if the bluenoses do something special tonight
  21. so by that logic 10man arsenal who were also without their best midfield player are better than an 11 man Liverpool - rubbish
  22. I just cannot believe some fans - they lose their best midfield player and have their centre forward sent off with half an hour to go and we keep two holding midfield players on the park and don't change tactics until the 88minute. But of course our manager didnt play for a draw. A draw was a good result against a full arsenal team but once the lost Adebayor and Fabragas we should of responded to that and we didnt. Instructions were continually coming down the phone and as a result we blew another great chance to win three points rather than 1. It is no wonder most pundits are puzzled by our managers overly cautious approach and they cannot all be wrong. Chelsea And United all dropping points and still we are not fully capitalising on the situation.
  23. Considering the quality of the squad in inherited and the money he has spent MON has done a very good job and my guess is they will finish fourth above arsenal
  24. No I think the manager was happy with a point before the game and having got to 1-1 was happy to keep what he had regardless of Arsenal going down to 10 men. You can praise Rafa all you like but for me he is too cautious - 5 draws in the past few weeks is a sign of a cautious manager
